It’s funny because I actually really don’t think Rodgers is a terrible choice but he is in the context of the other 4-5 managers who we could’ve gone for if we’d committed to one early and got it done.
I think he's a terrible choice actually. His tenures tend to start quite well then fall apart spectacularly. Knowing our history he'd probably just go straight to the latter, bearing in mind the very low level of tolerance for failure he'd be likely to receive from the fans.

Cant wait for Gucci belts smug arrogant smile when he guides us to 12th place next season and says "You're Welcome"

My Leicester supporting mate who gets some info for them was convinced we'd get Rodgers as soon as he left the club. Opinion of course, but the first thing he said was there was no way Rodgers would leave his contract by mutual consent if he didn't have something else lined up, and he was certain that would be us.

I hope this doesn't happen for many reason, but most of all because I don't want my mate to be right...

We usually pay managers well so this seems a bit strange although I suppose Jose Nuno and Conte were all out of work so whilst we might have paid them well we rarely buy out managers from their clubs.

The last one I can remember was Redknapp from Portsmouth when we were really in the muck.

Rodgers’ (and Potter, same agent) agent hates Daniel Levy, won’t be happening

I said this the other day that Slot is so good that I’d be fine if he wanted to sell Kane and do a full and proper rebuild.

If that is why we didn’t go for him then it just comes back to what @Trix has been banging on about with Levy being far too involved in ‘football decisions’!!!

If Slot if our guy and he wants to do that then you back him and let him get on with it end of.
Of course you do, because when you are responsible for a business you make a decision, you stand by it, you go all in, and you live or die by it. But not our Daniel. That's not the way he rolls.

The Levy tax. Left with damaged goods managers because they're the only ones desperate enough to accept his de facto Director of Football role.

This club always does a really good job of proving the critics, naysayers, detractors and doubters completely correct.

If you’re a self respecting manager at a club like Feyenoord, Sporting, Brighton etc. doing a great job, why on earth would you even consider us when if you keep doing what you’re doing you will get a chance at a club of our size again with a stable infrastructure and a president/chairman who backs you?

I think spurs fans either have already realized or are slowly coming to the realization that managers do not want to touch us because there is no backing or job security. We’re well and truly fucked

"During conversations with various sources over the last few weeks, a recurring theme has been the idea that #thfc are a manager’s graveyard.
It’s been suggested that some prospective head coaches have looked at that and been given pause for thought."

Christ this is grim.

Utterly damning and the culmination of years of fundamental mis-management from the highest level.

It's got to the point where there is realistically no way back for Levy and ENIC and they are now actively damaging the future of the club.

Just popped SSN on during lunch break and Ramon Vega was being interviewed.

Fair play, he's very passionate about us...don't think he'll be on Daniels Christmas card list 🤣 Quite scathing about Danny and the direction the club has gone in. Had a bizarre rant about 5 taxis refusing to take him and his wife to N17 from west London...even they're negative about the club lol
Unfortunately he’s one of very few former players who stick their head above the parapet to criticise this regime.

I actually think it is going to be Mason. And I think next season is going to be really bad. Not relegation, but would anyone be surprised to see us in Chelsea’s position come next May?

We don’t know the ins and outs of what happened with Slot, but all I do know is if any other top 6 team came in for him it would of been done already regardless if there is a buyout clause. That’s the difference between us and the others. They get it done where as levy always thinks he knows better. As I said at the beginning a leopard never changes it’s spots, so I’m not that surprised by this.
