I think you have that backwards. No way Levy sacrifices the Korean/Asian market.
I know that, visually at least, the Korean market seems incredibly important but is there anything showing how much it is actually worth to the club? And would it exceed the larger transfer fee we could get now compared to in a few years time when Son is even older?

Don't mind others coming in, as I'm sure we'll be apprised of the situation and maybe it'll give Levy the requisite kick up the jacksie to get it done.

it would be a strange for Tottenham not sure where he fits in under Conte's system - he can play across the front line but his goal scoring record is poor not to mention his injury and his discipline problems (even has a poor overall assist record) - he would make a lot more sense if he were going to play 4-2-3-1 but Conte is not going to suddenly change from what we have seen so far

If Brighton want him then we should definitely buy him, they seem to strike gold more than any other club in the transfer market.

I was watching Mitoma yesterday, he is gonna be some player, terrifying pace with end product. Not just his goal, but the way he set up Solly March with great control and coolness in the box

Ferguson looks good up top as well - I hope Levy is talking to Brighton about how they keep finding these lads.
We should be all over Mitoma .

It wouldn't surprise me if Levy's long-term plan is to have Son finish his career with us and then appoint him as a Club Ambassador. That way he'll be hoping we can continue to reap the benefits of Son's popularity in Asia for years to come.

Maybe it’s just the optics, but my fucking god, why can’t we just NOT FUCK ABOUT with a transfer every once in a while. It’s fucking embarrassing.

If this guy is so great why are Roma looking to sell him?

And don't say it's his contract because he has the same time left as Harry Kane.
They aren't looking to sell him and they weren't looking to sell him last summer but he now wants to go and he's not signing a new contract whilst Dybala has apparently worked out well for Roma so they are resigned to letting him go.

It honestly feels like we have no money, always a loan to buy or throwing in some player to take the fee down. I know we have a big squad but we also surely have money.

There have been as fair few reports and articles about how assumptions around shirt sales and general merchandising are massively overestimated by supporters. It’s possible that we may have made £10m+/- from sales of Sonny jerseys across his whole time here. We’re not going to recoup that amount again over the remainder of his career and any transfer fee that could be commanded for him would absolutely outstrip shirt sales and merch revenue. Here’s one example i turned up:

A far more pertinent financial consideration is whether his contribution on-field can get back to the levels we all know he is capable of and help us to the highest placed finish possible and to qualify for the Champions League, increasing revenue in the most significant ways. That’s what needs to be weighed up against any hypothetical transfer fee.

Roma owe a percentage of the sell on fee to Inter. If we pay a high loan fee and lesser fee to make it permanent then Roma get to keep more of the money.

All this news of Conte not staying beyond the end of the season. I don't want this deal if its a Conte deal! Makes no sense to have another unwanted player by the new manager when it eventually happens. Horrible strategy

A new manager inherits a whole squad of new players so not sure what difference it makes. I hate this idea that players signed for Conte can't be great for another manager or play in different system.
