Not sure I want a striker who's never scored more than 11 goals in a full season in Spain for a side who regularly got into the top 6. 4 goals last season right? No thanks.

I thought the same, his stock seems to have dropped a bit these last few seasons. Not really the solution to our problem.

Agreeing with Parky though Nilmar > Inter, Leandro > Spurs would make me much cheerier.

Leandro is apparently going to Juve isn't he?

Not guaranteed currently but time is running out o_O

Just to confirm.

So are you saying that if we don't sort out a deal soon that he will end up at Juve?

For the amount of time we have chased him that would be a massive kick in the bollux!

Thing is, Leandro wants a move to Juve whereas I don't think he's ever been attributed in proclaiming to want a move to Tottenham, or England for that matter.

OK so in regards to Nilmar:

IMO he is a better version of Defoe. I know people will disagree with that and that's fine, but he gets in better positions in the box than Defoe and is effective inside of the box, whereas Defoe is more effective on the edge on the box IMO.

Can't see why we're looking at a Defoe replacement as frankly i think we should be looking got two Adebayor type players, however in the case where we are looking for a Defoe replacement then i think he'd be ideal at the right price.

If we can sell Defoe, buy Nilmar and make £5m on the deal then we're onto a winner, on the assumption that he isn't likely to be regularly stating a lot of out league games (could be a very effective cup player for us and league sub).

As for Leandro:

It seems he has been advised and agrees that he would settle easier in either Spain or Italy than in the PL. I have to agree with this although it is the easier option rather than perhaps the correct one.

Obviously no-one outside of the top two in Spain have the money for him and neither of them are interested, hence him looking at Italy and specifically Juve as the team that could use him and afford him.

However i don't think they'll go for him and i think he may well end up at PSG as we'll have moved on / got pissed off with negotiations by that point in the window.

Roig the Villarreal president who is a moron saying his players wont go cheap despite being relegated. 7 mil euros is the fee for Nilmar being bandied about in Spain.

I am not a fan of your equation

Nilmar may be greater than Inter but no way is Lenadro greater than Spurrs

Not a comment on who was greater than who btw, sorry for any confusion with the mathematical signs used. I was referring to nilmar moving to inter to facilitate leandro to spurs.
