I don't think Norwich were that poor. I think Kaboul and Walker took out their phyical presence up front and Sandro and Parker stopped them playing through the centre.

We played some really good stuff but this game highlighted how much we need more than one midfielder on the pitch with pace. Bale gave them a hard time, if Lennon was playing we'd have won even more comfortably.

Totally correct.

We played well tonight, make no mistake...the system worked an absolute treat.

Great game to watch and we really did see the fluidity of Bale, Modric and VDV there. Harry's interview was interesting when he was talking about the formation which he said was basically a 4-3-2-1 with VDV and Bale free up the pitch and Modric free in the middle. I was also intrigued at the mention of the special player again especially since Redknapp said he had "1 or 2 in mind".

Oh and can someone tell me the Adebayor song please?

I still think Vdv was getting far too deep. Needs to stay a lot closer to AdebAyor. After the goals he moved back to a defensive role for a while I thought!

Yeh Sandro I think had a very solid game throughout and looks to be back to last seasons form. Still not convinced we need to play him AND Parker in the same midfield in games like these but we got the result tonight which is all that matters.

Don't be fooled though, the system worked because Norwich couldn't get going at all and we over run them in the middle...hence they couldn't play to their strengths, couldn't get the ball wide to get enough crosses in as we dominated possession.

We should and could of won that by 4 or 5.

System worked very well.

Hopefully Harry will play Parker and Sandro together away from home more often now, other than when enforced... We've got enough attacking ability to score against anyone, that added defensive solidity made us look really solid. If our finishing hadn't been so wayward as it was in the first half we could have had a hat full.

Not booking Holt for his elbow and not spotting Morison's foul on Gallas for a penalty pulls down his first half rating, but his second half was excellent.

not sure i agree about the trip on gallas. there's no way the ref can be expected to see that really.

Yeah apart from those two incidents he was spot on. Though the linesman maybe should have seen the trip

To be fair he didn't really have an awful lot to do, there was only 13 fouls given the whole game...

"I told VDV and Bale to play where they wanted." Redknapp. Arsenal tried the same thing with Fabregas. He chose Barcelona.

I really like the starting line-up we had today, especially for an away game. A good balance of blockers, unlockers, and goods-producers, with a hefty dash of pace.

Norwich have been overawed and too defensively-minded against the better clubs this season, but they do work hard and we've seen our rivals slip up in "easier" games this Xmas.

My only gripe would be to substitute earlier, since I'm worried about how many games the likes of Adebayor are playing. Parker's duties have been alleviated somewhat by Sandro, but our FBs have played so many games, while Bale and Modric have barely rested more than once or twice this season. If Adebayor, who is so critical to this team at the moment, gets injured or grows tired we are fucked until cover comes in.

Some of our football tonight was a joy to behold, a thing of beauty. Gosh, I love Tottenham.

The ref had an excellent game. Thank goodness Howard Webb was off mugging Sunderland yesterday.

I thought everyone played well, Harry did well with the tactics, we dealt with Norwich perfectly, and the players are showing the work rate, composure and understanding that could really take us anywhere.

As the guys on sky said, who would improve us?
