I think Bentelab can play in other cup games for development. I think he is not ready to read the game i.e. controlling the pace and dictating it... he needs time. Whereas Paulinho if given proper instruction can hold the ball and play nice 1-2 passing.

I still think the problem is with coaching. How can world class players become inept overnight.

Well don't get me wrong I like Paulinho and think once he adjusts to the pace of the PL -he has in some ways adjusted but tended to fade after about 70 minutes early on and now must be feeling the effects of playing in Brazil that didn't really give him the break other had-he'll be a great addition, but with the depth of players we have in midfield and our needs at striker and left back I could see a deal that got us Morata and Coentrao as being one that could benefit the team and worthy of strong consideration

paulinho needs to play further up field due to his scoring ability. So i would relieve more of his defensive duties just so he can be stronger when he gets into scoring positions

Well credit where it's due. He was incredible today, if this is the Paulinho we signed then fair enough, I'm all for keeping him. However one performance doesn't make a player

If he keeps it up then fair play, but the last couple of months I've not been impressed. Maybe he just needed that break or maybe it was the old system. Hopefully he can continue with performances similar to today!

I'm with ya man, as I've grown immensely impatient with his wanks in front of goal. He was good today, and I'm glad to see it. But his composure anywhere near goal could not be worse for a professional footballer.

If we're talking about shipping players out based on their performances under AVB we'd be looking at a new squad.
Paulinho is a top quality player. It's not up for debate. It's a fact.
Now we should start to see what he can do when the team aren't static.
Can't wait. That flick today for Soldado and those taps over the Stoke players head were awesome.

Is that even allowed in public? No wonder he delays his shots............

Not saying I want to sell him, but double the money we paid and I think we'd be foolish not to consider this. Sandro and Capoue are more than excellent enough CM's for us.

Sandro & Capoue are different CMs to Paulinho. Its like saying Mikel is good enough so Chelsea don't need Lampard or maybe Ramires.

While this is true, and Paulinho is rather unique amongst our CM's, he doesn't hold any particular use in our current setup (especially with his blown sitters). If we get a good offer, I'm not at all opposed to this.
