What I like is he can take the ball on the half turn wonder if he could be used as a 10

So 5-3-2

But in the shape of

Bentacur Hojbjerg

Gil

Jenas correctly said in the first half that only Kane was the only player on that could find that 'cute ' pass. Something different.

We have another player that can and his name is Bryan Gil

I've been very critical of him, and have generally arrived at the opinion he'll never be very good.

but he was grrat when he came on tonight, finally someone who is comfortable on the ball. top marks to the young man, hope he kicks on and gets a real chance.

He was a breath of fresh air tonight. Exciting, determined, involved and progressive with the ball.
Can't understand why he didn't come on against Newcastle.
Conte's got to get him involved more

If he's going to get a start I feel it'll be against Forest in the cup. I think Conte will stick with Moura's experience, but I can see him getting more 30-minutes now rather than 5-minute cameos.

He makes the mistakes of someone relatively inexperienced and who hasn't played regularly for a while.
But what he does have is absolutely fabulous technique (better than lots of our regular starters) and a willingness to get the ball moving quickly and push forward.
He’s a clever player. I really like him and hope he gets more opportunities:

Sorry mate. He’s not six foot plus and defensive so conte won’t fancy him.

He should be banging on Contes door asking him what else he wants. He did far more than Lucas did, he worked his arse off when he came on despite barely getting game time this season. Conte can’t keep rewarding players in awful form and then not starting Gil after him changing the game today,

I still worry about his physicality, the PL is even more physical this season with the increased leniency we're seeing.

What he does do however is show up the sheer technical vacuum our right hand side is with players like Royal, Doherty and Lucas. It's nice to see someone other that Kulusevski in those positions showing a bit of football intelligence and quality.

Yes he was good tonight, yes he did change the game and yes he does add something different. But we're still waiting for him to have some meaningful output. I really like him, just want him to show he won't flatter to deceive. Come on Bryan, do it for the little guy!

He probably won’t start Vs Bournemouth, but surely Conte can now see how he will be useful, especially without Kulu & Richy.

He needs PL mins.

He deserves to start against Bournemouth. He does have output: he won the penalty against Eintracht Frankfurt, that’s output. And he changed the game tonight, very positive. He’s earned a start, for my money.
