Food for thought , who is regarded the better full back by professionals, Trips or Rose. Trips gets himself a move to a pretty big club in Atletico with one of the longest serving managers in Europe, Rose has the whole summer off and can't find a club that wants him.
Rose comes with a shit load of baggage and a very bad injury record. I vaguely remember him saying he spoke to a club last summer and they asked to meet him before any kind of talks took place to “check he wasn’t crazy”

Rightfully so, clubs are not willing to take a risk on him. He’s too injury prone and unprofessionally speaks his mind to anyone willing to listen.

I'd be amazed if he gets into any other top 10 club in the PL.

Totally agree, if I started shouting my mouth off about my employer I’d expect to be given a p45!

Serge gets a lot of stick, but I feel more comfortable with him in the team than Rose, and that says something.

Every match he plays he costs us a goal at least. How is he still playing???

Rose has been around too long to play the athletic counterattacking full-back role. At his age (29) he should be using his consummate knowledge of the left-back's position (we wish) and his perfect reading of the game (we also wish) to become a devastating creative presence who can turn defence into attack, a la Denis Irwin, not a prematurely aged Ashley Cole.

Great point. A player with Rose’s skill set he was never going to play at the very top into his 30s

He’s been culpable in at least half a dozen goals this year. His laziness to track runners is a disease in the squad.
Bin him off.

He's been beyond shocking this season. Looks like a player who couldn't care less, a player who is desperate to get out.

Shouldn't play again for club IMO, Poch need to get some balls and drop him from the squad completely.

His confidence and motivation have gone after being told he can leave and being dropped for the preseason tour.
I mean, Danny Rose knows what Danny Rose is worth and will make sure he gets his move to a club up north where he doesn’t need to google his teammates, so I’m not sure being given exactly what he believes he deserves is denting his confidence any time soon.

Perhaps he’s just not good enough now?

So you don't think the preseason stuff would have effected him at all?

He probably has lost some pace, and isn't as good as he used to be, but I bet confidence and motivation come into it was well.
