Before our first goal .He made a pathetic pass right to a West Ham player just seconds before the goal. No pressure on him at the time either, pure carelessness.

He might not- might think he is the best of an average bunch.Thankfully our 25 trophy winning manager disagree's with you.
I see lots of attacks on Sanchez but there's a bit of unfairness. The own goal for example, he had to get his head on it as he can't let it go past him, if he had they'd have scored and he'd have been crucified for that.
Why though is nobody asking how the fucking hell their player was allowed to get to the line on the edge of the six yard box to put Sanchez in that situation? Really, how?
Why weren't they stopped outside the box? Why weren't they fouled on the halfway line every time they crossed it? I'm sorry but I'm not putting all the blame on Davinson Sanchez.
people are pinning a lot of hope on a guy who is only 16 months younger than Sanchez and has yet to make a premier appearance. I dont understand how a 23 year old can be expected to improve with time but a 24 year old cant.
Reguilon was very poor in the Sanchez OG situation. Not for the first time, he was positioned poorly and allowed a dangerous cross into the box that Sanchez failed to clear. Not all Sanchez fault by a long way.
Not really fair to compare him to peak Toby and Jan as they were 27/28 also I seem to remember Jan getting a fair bit of criticism for his defending under AVB and Sherwood and he was 25 at the time
There's nothing to say that Sanchez can't improve but there's a lot to say he hasn't improved on some pretty glaring weaknesses in his game since he first joined whereas it's understandable people are interested to see if Rodon can come in and improve because he's never had an opportunity to play in the prem surrounded by quality teammates and top coaching to learn from. He's suddenly in a much better environment so it's pretty easy to understand why people could anticipate he could improve significantly.
Where as Sanchez has had that structure in place for a long time where we expected him to improve but he's only improved marginally. There's also other aspects to it. Dier clearly is a Jose favourite and I'm sure Jose would probably relish the opportunity to be able to shift Dier to his preferred right side and get more out of him if the quality difference between Sanchez and Rodon is marginal.
None the less with good coaching Jans defending improved with time.Jan was amazing on the ball though, which allowed him a bit of slack when it came to improving his defending.
Unfortunately Sanchez is also very poor and nervous with the ball if anyone comes within 10 yards of him.

I disagree with that. He'll have the same team-mates as Sanchez, and I dont for a second believe Sanchez is solely or even mostly responsible for our woes.
oh, I see what you're saying. I suppose he will be surrounded by players of more technical quality but I doubt we are any better organized defensively.I don't see how you can disagree. Rodon has so far in his career been surrounded by teammates from Swansea. I'm pretty confident he's going to benefit from training with a higher quality teammates playing at Spurs. Sanchez has had that priviledge already. I also never said that Sanchez is solely responsible for our woes so I don't know why you've bothered to say that. We're talking solely about why there's probably more hope that Rodon can improve.
Yeah. I mean I can only go on memory from real time but Reguilon and Lucas was it? Was absolute amateur defending from the pair of them to double up one one man and leave the overlapping player completely free to then go on and cross unchallenged.
Just rewatched the highlights and this is exactly what happened. Somehow Bowen just cruises past on the overlap and has a stroll into the 6yard box. You could see the goal coming LONG before Sanchez got his head to it.
I think he can be excused for this as he must have had a neck ache watching us pass it from left to right to left to right to left to...Not really fair to compare him to peak Toby and Jan as they were 27/28 also I seem to remember Jan getting a fair bit of criticism for his defending under AVB and Sherwood and he was 25 at the time
