You suspect that selling Sanchez was the price for them also taking N’Dom on loan. If they are paying all but €1m of his wages that sees both deals being worth around a total of £22.5million this year l. If in the unlikely event N’Dom impresses enough for them to take him next year too (even in a free) that’s another £10m saved. The massive negative is we are left with our CB cover as Dier, two kids or converted fullbacks like Davies or Royale. We’ve got to pray the Romero and VDV stay fit and suspension free for 4 months. 😬

Good luck, Dav.

Truly a player that could have flourished under an attacking manager with a high line, who was completely ruined by two low block playing dinosaurs, fighting through disgusting booing from our own support, and still being the utmost professional. All the best

I’m sure the thinking is they needed to go so it didn’t matter how or when as long as it happened. Ange is willing to trust youth, and he knows it’s the start of a rebuild where performances are valued more than results. It also represents a great message to the academy that if they are good enough they will be trusted and a squad spot is always up for grabs. Honestly not bothered at all by Davinson going, it’s a means to an end.

While a 3rd choice should have been bought, I think we are right to sell him regardless.

It’s not one or the other. We need to get rid of the deadwood.

Right decision to sell but goes with hopefully most peoples best wishes.

There is a player in there for sure with his pace and power but just offset with mistakes.

Wish him all the best going forward.

Yep.

Hopefully, we'll never ever again have to put up with the Juassic Park type shit promoted by Mourinho and Conte. Regarding Sanchez, (and as earlier mentioned) there is a good player in there. A shame he ended up being on the same timeline as the aforementioned buffoons.

Dealt with some knobheads after the Bournemouth game, which was one of the most embarrassing episodes of supporting Spurs, and came out the other side showing himself as a proper professional with a good head on his shoulders. Wish him nothing but the best.

No ill will towards him at all - but he joined us in 2017 and had over two years under Poch - he had plenty of opportunity to flourish, don't blame the managers.

Was behind arguably the best defensive partnership in the league at the time tbf.

Nothing against him but he is not and has never been good enough. We spent £40m on him, probably the equivalent of a £60m plus player in today’s money. I could tell within first few games that he was dreadful on the ball, no idea what the scouts/Poch saw to think he was worth it.

Wish him the best but he goes down as one of our worst signings in recent times.

Hope he goes on to have a great career. Never moaned, always worked hard. In all honesty you can’t ask too much more.

And he played very well in those two seasons, his 18-19 season in particular.

Then Jose "We attacked Sanchez when he played CB at Ajax" Mourinho came in and his confidence was never the same.

I wish him all the best. I carry a memory of him around with me every day as he signed my phone case after we played Burnley at the TH in May 2022 and I got a chance to thank him for filling in for Romero and helping us to get in a position to claim top four. It was pouring with rain and he had his wife and baby outside and yet he stayed out there and signed everything put in front of him when the majority of players fled to the dressing room. I will never forget this. Good luck Davinson Sanchez.

Good luck Dav, sorry it didn’t work here. Carry on being a top professional and top human being, don’t let malicious trolls sway you otherwise. You deserve all the success in the world.

I don't even like defenders anyway......
I had a feeling you were the real Daniel Levy!! ;) ;)

I still don't understand the inability for use to secure an extra CB in the window, but it's happened now so we move on. Getting Sanchez out the door now is obviously a risk, but also one less job to do in future windows. And if we take the view of Ange building for the future and not being able to do everything in one window anyway, it's a step along that path.

Good luck to Sanchez. A great professional and his heart was always in the right place.
