I don't think anyone means to crown him as the next big thing. Just that his lack of minutes was absurd based off the absolute shit Emerson & Doherty had served up for 30 or so games.

5 minutes in the premier league, 25 min vs Forest in the EFL Cup & 13 min vs Portsmouth in the FA cup. Meanwhile he can be put in the Ligue 1 team of the week based off a performance vs PSG. It was purely down to Conte's stubbornness.

Say what you want about Emerson but he has always been solid defensively. When leaking goals I can understand playing a defensive fullback especially when Romero was missing. Imagine a right side of Spence and Tanganga……

Not sure we can say Emerson is completely solid defensively when he spends a fair amount of time sliding/diving in and not staying on his feet.

Maybe he thought he would be out longer. Tbf he played most of the games while he was out including the europa league. But now both their fullbacks are back fit he's not even getting on the bench meanwhile we have Lucas filling in at rightback. Madness. And we've seen what Porros defending is like.

Noticed that since the 1st day back video, he's been suspiciously missing from any training videos the club have put out. I have a feeling he's likely nursing an injury but happy to be corrected if I've somehow missed a Djed sighting in any of the pre-season pics or training videos.

I would think he is destined for a loan unless Ange thinks Porro is a winger competing with Kulusevski.

Still doesn't make sense why he hasn't featured in any of the training videos when the likes of Yago Santiago, Nile John and other academy players have been visible. Same goes for Troy - showed up 1st day of pre-season and hasn't been seen since. I guess we'll know more as the U21's have a behind closed doors game vs Cambridge at Hotspur Way tomorrow and will be interesting to see who features.

Ahhh, that's what I feared. Thank you for adding that, I definitely felt it was injury related rather than Ange already making up his mind about Spence.

I have heard from a few different people he don’t have a good attitude I know steve cooper got a good 5 months from him but I don’t see him being in ange plans at all.
