Sounds like his future is already in place — and probably not at Spurs if it would cause “chaos”.

Hopefully that’s not the case and he’s staying?
i understand why we’re all inclined to expect the worst but I feel like that reading between lines that aren’t there.
Nothing. Bale is just being vague as usual. Nothing to read into it. But some fans just can't help themselves I guess.
That’s my thoughts, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for him to be announced as staying for one more year right away.

It really could be retirement. What else would cause "chaos". Going back to Madrid or coming back to us wouldn't cause any chaos, but playing the last tournament for Wales could.

You’re right, the live interview definitely gives a different vibe than the direct quote.

It's been so good to see Bale scoring goals for us again. Would love him to stay but if he leaves then he's left with class.

Let him go. He is a sideshow we do not need. Didn't do anything in any big game this season and seems to decide if and when he is fit enough to play. We need to ditch him and move on now. It's time to build a new team now, not rely on an injury prone player on massive wages. We need a hungry new squad going forward. And most importantly a TEAM, not hide behind a big name or two.

I’m not gonna read anything into this, but if I had to guess, I’d say he might retire. Again, could mean anything.

Edit: after seeing his comment regarding Kane, I still have no clue what it means. Hope he’s here next season.
Retirement must be the only thing you can rule out surely? He’s got a year left on a 600k a week contract, why would he retire without picking it up?

I think the Chaos Is the fact that nothing has been signed, no agreements etc so if he says I’m gonna be at spurs next year before anything is arranged or sorted than that causes a problem for ourselves and Real

If we were keeping him it would be up to the club to say so by him saying he will announce it after the euros I would say it’s a pretty good bet he’s leaving.
Surely the club could announce it whenever they want if he was leaving though? He’s only “our player” until 30th June you would guess?

IF he is leaving we will know soon enough, the club will make the announcement as soon as they know to damper fans expectations
