Wont lie the squad news has made me concerned we are repeating last season.

Cant shift nkoudou and rose
Wanyama knee troubles cant take part in pre-season

Im losing a bit of faith in much business being down if I'm honest, still time to go and no reason to have a meltdown yet though.
Happily keep Rose. Don’t know if anyone’s taking Wanyama because of his knee. And fuck knows about GNK but it’s clear Poch really doesn’t want him

I like Rose but it seems we have tried to force him out twice now so makes me wonder how Poch feels about him but my main concern is deadwood being the reason we cant add to the squad. Nkoudou situation is a joke, i knew the loan was just pushing the problem down the line.

Wanyama situation is sad, was hopeful West Ham would suit us out, thought his champions league appearences would help us shift him. Great player and person but injuries have ruined him.

He’s literally in because we have 2 games in 24hrs. Gives him a game to showcase himself.. would rather a youth player though

Cannot believe this guy is still part of the squad going to Germany. I hope to god that he's just coming with to get a minute or two to be shipped off to Fulham or something, otherwise it's a monumental failure from Levy leaving it this late in the window with him still left at the club.

Edit: Thinking about it, it's a failure even having him with for the trip. That spot and those potential minutes should be going towards a new signing. Not this dross.

Another epic waste of money - bar his cross to create that goal against Fulham. Who the hell scouted him? Fucking hell.

What I don't get is why is it so fucking hard to shift the crap in our squad? Other teams seem to be able to offload dross at high fees to other clubs. N'koudou is taking up a foreign space in the squad too, which makes it worse.

Absolute epic fail, whoever brought him in.

Just get rid of him, admit the failure and move on from it, all these players hanging about and Poch doesn't seem to rate them.

It grinds after a while.

Five or ten years ago, our wild punts would have been on 8-15k /wk, so there were a lot more options for unloading the ones that didn’t pan out. With all the new PL money, players like Jannsen and NKoudou on 25-35k/wk have far fewer potential options abroad, and the newly rich lower-table English teams can afford to take their own punts on a new player who could be a star instead of one of our failures.

If it wasn’t for the significance of the term deadwood after last summer’s window, I wouldn’t give a labrador’s fuck about this thread

I’d guess he’s shop window with the idea being we sell, loan, give away in the right conditions. Imagine Bale on a shelf in Harrods, then GNK is in a bargain bucket at the front of Lidl next to the canoes and crossbows
Close but more like a Sunday car boot on a wallpapering table with 10p Enid Blyton books and plastic earrings

Can we give his contract away as a “bonus” in a “lucky” box of Corn Flakes? 999,999 boxes out of a million get the shit plastic toy, the last one gets GKN in the front garden the next morning

The more disappointing think about GK is that there's a player in there - or, at least, more so than we saw or have seen from a number of youth products that we have previously fielded.

He is pacey and isn't afraid to take players on, is still relatively young, and must have had something to make him worth a punt in the first place. Very different scenario to Janssen.

I’m sure I read somewhere that when he went on loan to Burnley they wanted an option to buy at the end but we refused. If true, what a fuck up that was.

They probably wouldn't have bought him anyway. Barely played.
