Hope he gets some good minutes and fitness under his belt on International duty.

If he comes back fit he should start. Did ok today, better than I expected him to.

Unless it was fitness based I think it was a mistake not to start him, the closest replacement we have to Maddison in the squad. This isn’t just hindsight I put him in my team in the team for wolves thread

And Sarr could have stayed on the right where he's been impressive.

To be fair how often have we seen him in the first team. He often played in Europe with a rotated squad. He started against Fulham in a rotated squad. I'd like to see him with the better players around him. He looks to be on the right sort of wavelength when he has top players around. Even Fulham was largely changed by that point and the team were looking a bit dysfunctional. Always seems difficult for him to stand out.

Was he called up by the Argentina squad? So have we warmed him up yesterday for another motm performance for them?

I genuinely don't think he's PL level. He's simply never adapted here, and I find it depressing that we're still talking about some of these players here after all this time.

yes. there’s a reason he never plays, or just plays the the last 10 of games. i’d think ange feels he can’t be trusted

Yep with so many changes splitting the Bissouma/Sarr midfield was a mistake, should have retained that axis and simply slotted GLC in for Maddison.

With hindsight yes, but I can see why Ange wanted PEH with the back 4 he had forced upon him.

He is technically a good footballer, however he wants way too much time on the ball and you don’t get that in this league and he doesn’t seem to adapt to that. He isn’t the first player to come to this league and struggle with the pace of the game in England, but the better players tend to adapt quickly.
