He has been an absolutely brilliant player for us, but these mistakes - which any competent amateur goalkeeper shouldn’t make - are killing us.

Our football is utter wank but his errors increase in volume with each passing season.

He has to be upgraded immediately. He constantly causes us problems, almost every single game, be it through a simple mistake like today, or his terrible kicking or terrible throwing.

The guy is a total liability.

It's time to replace.

1-1 against Arsenal - Lloris howler
0-0 against Newcastle - Lloris howler
0-0 against Villa - Lloris howler

That’s three times we’ve been in a decent position in games where Hugo has done a big mistake with a loss as consequence.

A great servant of the club and had many big moments for us over the years. But it's become a howler almost every game from Hugo these days, and like I mentioned in the match thread it's hard to watch due to the affection many of us have for him.

Ultimately I think it's time to replace him as he's becoming so error prone and it's way more than a blip at this stage.

Nothing to do for the game and then that one mistake. Not good enough anymore. He constantly makes game-changing mistakes.

Pointless having a worldie in midweek if you're back to clowning around at the weekend.

Fans endlessly talk about acting like a big club, one of those would have booted him out about 5 years ago - when his sweeping abilities dropped off a cliff, his big game mentality was obviously questionable, his consistency started to wain (and has just continued on and on), and it was beyond doubt that he didn't have the ball playing ability required by teams of a modern keeper. Instead we're apparently overly thankful he stayed a decade and have allowed him to effectively choose when he goes.

Can he still by and large perform, and pull out heroics on his day? Obviously yes. But he's (way) beyond his peak and it's overdue time to shake things up.
As I was saying...

A big club would have ruthlessly canned him ages ago. Want a rebuild, want proper change, want the team to do something different? Don't just take about tinkering at the edges, get to the core/heart of the team and clear it out.

I was a big fan of Lloris before he came to Spurs and was delighted we managed to get him. For 3 or 4 years he was top drawer and has been a great servant. He must be a great man in the changing room for several managers to trust him with the armband for club and country, but, his time is well and truly up. You could probably go through the premier league table and over the past year he has gifted every side a goal.
Its testament to how urgent surgery is needed elsewhere in the team that a successor for him hasnt been prioritised but with every disaster we must be getting close.
