Said when he came on that he would spend half an hour pointing at the player on the ball to pass to someone else and meticulously hiding between all of city's players to avoid the ball at any costs.

He proceeded to do exactly that, whilst simultaneously failing to track his runners and costing us a goal by, you guessed it, being so busy pointing at Bale to pick up a man he was already goalside of, that he forgot to mark his own man and couldn't even compete for the header.

His presence on the pitch is actively negative, and if he's still here next season then Levy will have failed this summer, no matter what else happens. Simple as that. Fucking disgraceful excuse for a footballer.

Really strange decision to have him marking Laporte. City don't have too many goal threats from corners so I would think that Dier and Toby would have been picking up Dias and Laporte. Another completely avoidable goal.
Dier and Toby did have those two marked before Sissoko came on, I didn't catch who deviated from the original plan but either would've had a hell of a lot better chance to deal with Laporte than Sissoko. I don't know if that was by instruction or if the players freewheeled as Laporte arrived in the area a bit late but whatever happened it was a colossal fuckup.

And anyway, a player who can do nothing but run was useful in the 80s and 90s. Not any more. Sissoko has now hoodwinked three Spurs managers and I hope Mason is the last.

Everyone barking up the wrong fucking tree again.
I don't blame him.
I said on here years ago it's not sissoko fault....you pick him, he will play.

Easy solution.... don't fucking play him.

I would have had Kane with Laporta

... provided of course the player accepts the decision. From the tidbits we hear, it seems that (a) he's influential in dressing room, and (b) he kicked off once José dropped him from the starting XI.

Please, enough ....

If this joke is running the dressing room,it's even worse then I ever imagined.

I doubt (b) is true, he knows he's not a starter

oh yeah, because we were controlling the game up to that point.
yeah but who's fuck up? Aurier for conceding the stupid foul, PEH for not actually guarding the post he set out to guard, Sissoko for an ineffectual challenge or Toby/Dier for losing track of one of the only aerial threats?

You can't blame him. He doesn't pick the team

Not blaming him. Just wondering how he got picked , by two different coaches at that, in the two finals.

Only way to not ever get picked again is to sell him as I don’t trust any future coach not picking him if he is still at the club.
