He is definitely very donininent in the air. More than I thought from his Everton days

When he isn't playing we do miss that. We don't cross as much aerially when he isn't in the side but the aerial crosses we do when he isn't playing never look threatening. Son despite all his many strengths can't attack a cross with his head

Not really a fan of Richy but delighted for him that he scored and assisted. Hopefully he has turned a corner.
We're all Tottenham fans right. I thinks its fine to prefer Son in 9 but we all want the players to do well and perform.

That was a great moment for the squad and if it pumps some positive hormones into him and gets him cooing again then happy days. We need everyone on top form against Arsenal, hope he runs out and shit houses a hatrick against them.

I think all his goals have been assisted by perisic. Interesting stat really. Shows a great relationship and understanding. It's almost like having a special teams or plan b from the bench. Taking this NFL relationship to another level.

Always stood up for Richy, until recently when i thought there was no going back, but that says more about me than him.
He obviously is struggling emotionally, you can see it even when he did score.
1 goal wont be the magic fix but i hope it is the start in his recovery.

Watched his goal again.(and again)
Great movement and technique.
When coaching I always emphasised that the run always comes before the pass.
It induces the pass.

Make the run.

To be fair to Richy he has good movement.
But you need the confidence/ experience to make the run
when you are not getting the ball or fluffing the chance.
Like the boy, though I have had my doubts
and so pleased for him, and us.

Good point, must come from hours of rehearsal because he knew exactly where he had to be and when.

I still don't think it is as simple as preferring Son or Richarlison in the middle, Son done the business last time out but yesterday half way through the second half it was clear we needed a different presence in the box and Richarlison was perfect for that.

Horses for courses I think springs to mind. Son isn't great against a low block, while Richarlison offers a presence in the box for those kind of games and can hold the ball up better than Sonny does.

Like to see him at least get a chance on the left, it's where he did well for Everton and they all say he's far better there than as a striker. Difficult test but it's a great day to show he deserves it

Was about to post exactly this.

He always played his best at LW for Everton, less pressure on him at LW than ST and he and Sonny can rotate a bit

Would love to see him get a goal ot two second half. Needs to calm himself down and have a little more composure when shooting
