I think now will be a good time to end our ties with Aurier. He has had his fair share ups and downs on the pitch the last few seasons but under Jose he has applied himself 100% and been one of our most consistent performers. I feel really sorry for him with his personal situation at the moment losing his brother but maybe a change of scenery and a move to a less competitive league will suit him well. Let's hope we reinvest the money on a decent signing.

It is telling that the only player we’re able to sell is Aurier. Think he will do well there, let’s hope this kicks us into buying mode.

Aurier will look good there. He’s not a bad player, just makes rash decisions. In a more forgiving league I think he’ll do well

Able or want? Of players I'm happy for us to move on there's Aurier, Rose, Lamela, I'd entertain Sissoko leaving if we could get the right deal and replacement in (TBH as as a squad option he makes sense)
I think Foyth future is either a RWB or DM but he needs to be playing regularly next season if his career is going to go anywhere, perhaps Jose will give him pre-season before judgement.
Other than that who are you thinking we'll entertain offers for especially in the current climate?

Able.

It’s pretty striking that Lamela, Sissoko, Rose, even Foyth have had a grand total of 0 concrete transfer rumors all summer. Meanwhile the player we slag off all season gets a move immediately. The grass is always greener and the like - I get that COVID has made everyone’s books tight but I seriously think we will be stuck with Lamela and Sissoko again next season.

@Sport_Mediaset
] | AC Milan have now reached an economic agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Serge Aurier. However Maldini and Massara after careful evaluation the player’s exuberant character could now look to pursue other targets upon reflection.
Worth pointing out that Mediaset is a Berlusconi vehicle, how close to the pulse they are with Milan these days is questionable. But could be some truth in it.

Also worth pointing out I find no existence of such post !!

So they go through all that negotiation to agree a deal and then check if the player is going to buy into their project lol.

Think those things are generally agreed/ironed out, and then the serious negotiation starts.
Italian media are just a mess to be honest. Really best to just wait for Romano or DiMarzio because once Milan agree a deal they'll tell them to get the publicity on Sky Italy.

They did once pull out of deal for Aly Cissokho because his bad teeth implied he may have an underlying condition lol

Isn't this just a rehash of that media report that was posted in here on Saturday? It's like one page back I think.

Corriere Dello Sport - unreliable?

The only reliable Italian media are DiMarzio and Romano. After that you have to apply massive, mountain sized, grains of salt.
Not true Univarn. As often is the case different sources are more reliable at certain clubs than others. reliability is dependent on the club and the source. While Italian journalists love running running with a rumour sources such as Gazzetta dello Sport and Mediaset tend to be pretty reliable for AC Milan news. Corriere Dello Sport is a Rome based paper, so wouldn't take it too seriously.

Ok to source. The mediaset stuff came from a bookend of a different article on the site, so speculative

Translation
'Regarding Aurier, a deal has been reached between the clubs, but inside the club they are considering if his exuberant personality would be a good fit'

Thats it, so not much of a story.

In gazzetta it's the same. The article is about Ibra, not Aurier, so it's more speculative.

'Regarding Aurier everything seems to be agreed between the two clubs, but it is awaiting approval by the milan owners, Elliott. Milan have been following Aurier for some time and while believe him to be a good player they want to know if he is fully dedicated to the new project.'

Both say the same thing, more or less, both articles about Ibra, both suggest the deal isn't yet done but that the transfer fee is more or less wrapped up, but is waiting board approval. How good is this information? I wouldn't treat it so seriously as these are essentially the bookend of articles rounding up Milan news, and there is no indication that it's hard solid information.

So, if there was a serious article in these two sources I would suggest it's true, because both have connection with Milan. A bit like Marca, I wouldn't trust either with information about any other italian club, but for Milan news I would. But this isn't really it, its just some extra speculation at the end of an article. I suspect there is some truth to it, but how much is up for debate.

If Aurier is indeed sold off this window then arguably we need to buy 2 RBs now, otherwise we will have a gaping hole in the squad. You would hope Aurier's transfer would not be signed off unless one incoming replacement is at an equally advanced stage.

Also rarely got injured which was good. I really hope it’s not Aaron’s as his replacement

Don't think he is one we will sell if he is also keen to stay and no good offers from Milan. Like some said, he actually was one of the most consistent players under Mourinho. And I think Mourinho is also couldn't be too unsatisfied with him. Guess it really down to him being a nomad, I presumed, and just wishes to go around instead of sticking to one club for too long.

Kind of sad he is leaving, especially if the coming RB is going to be a rookie one.
