Not unfeasible that we could also have 6 senior centre backs if we don't shift anyone too. I know some on here would have a hard on for stockpiling CBs but having 6 is ridiculous in practice.
May not be too bad. 1 could play right back (Foyth?) and another could play inside left back (Tanganga?). We're certianly lighter at full back than centre back so may use centre backs to cover the fullbacks.

A pity that it feels like we’re being held hostage to the NDomble situation. A potential fantastic window will be only a good window if we don’t resolve it.

Inter have a new central mid at the top of their list don't they? Vidal? He is poles apart from what Ndombele is.

Agreed, very odd that those two would be targets for the same position they're trying to fill. Vidal seems like much more of a Conte player to me.
Pretty much. I don't get the link at all, include the rumours of Eriksen being placed on the transfer list - in what world is Ndombele going to fit in there if the thing holding him back is the thing Conte would look for most in a central midfielder ...

Does Conte get a say in this transfer? You know what autocratic big clubs are like!

Perhaps they'll see which midfielder they can sign and the manager will have to tailor his tactics accordingly.

Or perhaps that's wishful think and it's all media click-bait

They want to ditch Eriksen? Perhaps he will end up at Barca or Real after all??!!

This is what’s so frustrating about him. He is as good with the ball at his feet as Dembele, but is more clinical in front of goal and plays fantastic line-breaking passes, yet he also has no work rate. If he was even bang average in effort off the ball and tracking back, he’d be top 10 midfielder in the prem easily, probably top 5. Instead he can’t get even get a game for us.

I’ve advocated for his sale because I just don’t think he’ll ever come good, but I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to be proved wrong more. Would love to see him become world class in our shirt over any transfer, just don’t believe it’ll happen.

yeah, I understand the frustration, would love for us to give him a bit of time especially now we've actually got a defensive midfielder in the squad. I'm really unconvinced by the reports about his attitude tbh, I really think he can still be a success but it's probably more blind optimism more than anything

People love to shit on him but he contributed more offensively last season than any of our other mids (including Gio), in far less game time. He'd be fine as the box to box in a CM3, especially with lo celso and hojberg. Allowing winks or Sissoko the starting spot is a massive downgrade

Its great retaining the ball on the 4 occasions in a match he moves far enough to allow himself to actually posses it.... I repeat 0 sprints in a half of premier league football as a central midfielder is not acceptable.

Not acceptable? It's indefensible....I accept the player has talent and that there is an adjustment period to a new, more intense league, but he's just taking the piss with that.....

Yes because he’s clearly not putting in the required effort. That’s the n.o1 thing any fan or manager wants from a player and his lack of effort and poor attitude are inexcusable.

If he was trying hard but not playing well as he was low on confidence or hadn’t adapted yet then we’d all be 100% behind him but the alarming lack of effort and poor attitude is just a no go and for that if Jose can’t see him changing then he’s a huge asset that needs to be sold ASAP so we can reinvest in players who are up for running and playing for the club.

No doubting TN’s ability, that’s clear to see but PEH for example has put in more effort In one pre season game than TN has in his entire spurs career to date.

Inexcusable.
