With our luck he will probably be absent through injury or covid. We are never at full strength for these games

If only Dembele ever scored, or assisted, or did anything apart from ponderously dribble the ball up to the opposition area before passing to someone. I've never seen a player slow up an attack as much. I'd take Ndombele over him every day of the week and I wanted him gone in the first year he was here. He shits all over Dembele.

This is the closest I’ve ever come to giving a negative rating haha. Please don’t insult one of my favourite players I still believe we would have won the CL final if he was still with us at the time.

Slightly off-topic...but what is that yellow thing in your avatar photo?. I been wondering what it is for well over a decade. :)

Haha, I forget that it's a bit weird, because I'm so used to the picture.

It's 4x Hamlet Reserve cigars sellotaped together

When I was a party animal in my mid-20s we had one of many nights out in Camden, and I thought it would be hilarious if I made that monstrosity in the World's End and lit it up.

It was like the Flying Scotsman in there; these days I'd have to pay the low-emissions charge, just for having it in my pocket!

Er, anyway, I hope that explains things (y)

Or "Ndombele would be a really good buy for Manchester United"
I can definitely hear them saying "no disrespect to Tottenham but if he carries on like this he could play for a top top team like Barcelona or Real Madrid"

You joke, but he's definitely looked leaner in recent weeks. All credit to him & the club for sticking with him.
100%, the Tanguy that wasn't arsed and had no interest is like looking at a different human being to the absolute gun we have on our hands at the moment.

He'll be targeted tomorrow, especially early in the game. Wouldn't be surprised to see some early yellow cards for Liverpool to kick him off his game.

Like the boy.
Clearly something special from the start.
Could José adapt to a maverick?
Not his specialist subject.
Compromise reached
and Tanguy set for a stellar career
hopefully with us.
Not sure he knows himself
what he's going to do next
so no chance for the opposition.
Boy's a natural,
don't fence him in.
Makes losing Dele
almost acceptable for me.
Are you submitting this poem in an online English lesson? If not, why not?

They haven't faced him before so they will probably be shocked at how difficult it is to even kick him! I'm looking forward to a Tanguy masterclass tonight.

If Son doesn't get fans on the edge of their seats there's serious problems
For me, not in the same way as a Bale or Ginola. In that as soon as they got the ball, they'd look to attack and take people on, literally every time they got the ball.
Son is a bloody exciting player but doesn't excite me quite to those same levels. It's a rare trait for me.
