They actually changed the scheduliung of AFCON's in 2017/2018 so that now they take place in the summer as standard. I don't know why but for some reason the last tournament was moved to January again.

It's been changed before because of weather conditions in Africa in summer think the one in Cameroon was changed . Next years competition is in Ivory Coast and June is the wettest month of the year so there has been some speculation about moving dates because pitches would get flooded . Think it would be impossible to bring the date forward because of WC so will have to see what happens and hope they stick to June/July

But (overly simplistically) for us, we need tough, hard working, we’ll positioned midfielders who can stamp their mark on the play, and give a platform for the front 3 and the wing backs to do their stuff.

Think everyone needs to calm down a little. What he has been involved in has changed a lot over the years and can stretch from touching someone's knee to something a lot worse. Also not clear if it was even him. Until the facts are even clear everyone should refrain from condemning him. Think about how you'd feel if people were condemning you in your work place or in your friends and family based on an accusation which could be mistaken identity. Let's just wait and see what happens before going for each other. I doubt, if he's found guilty of any wrong doing of a sexual assualt nature, there will be anyone in here still supporting him and most will demand the club sack him.

I can't think of many better signings we could make than this.

Well it can be because me, you and everyone else doesnt know the details of this case. And if you paid attention, there is a good chance that it wasnt Bissouma.

we know he was involved through what is written in the media. It’s pretty basic morality to be concerned a player who is going to represent the club you support is being investigated for his part in the accusation. Yes he might be found not to have committed any wrong doing but it’s pretty natural to have some concerns at this stage.

Liverpool and City make these type of signings too. Like Liverpool getting Wiljnadum from Newcastle. It's what the best teams do really, get the best players from the teams lower down the table.

This has also been the MO for Juventus/Bayern for years for instance. Nick the best players outside the top 6. Major advantage is that these players are already familiar with the league. Very impressed with how we operate in this window: Perisic/Forster were smart free transfers, exploiting Bissouma's contract situation is shrewd business too. We'd likely have 3 transfers in and we're only half of June - what a contrast with our past transfer business.

Bissouma will start and it will be one of PEH/Bentancur/Skipp IMO.

We also now have the flexibility to play 3-5-2.

I’ve been buzzing all day because of this. My number 1 choice for CM we could have realistically signed. Him and Bentancur is an elite pairing and Bentancur, Bissouma and Eriksen as a 3 would be excellent too

He's innocent until proven guilty. That's how the justice system works. Casting your own judgement on someone who's not proven guilty does not make you morally superior.

Where have I cast judgement on anyone? I’m saying it’s fine to have concern considering the case he is being investigated for.
