HSissoko and Winks ran themselves into the ground. I don't think Ndombele could have done that for enough of the game had he have started.
He is NOT that kind of player, and never will be! He is YToure kind of player. And YT always said he is not there to run around for 90 minutes. But to use his head, conserve energy for when he needs to penetrate and make a difference.

And yet neither of them could keep the ball. Erisken should not have been picked in the first place and was so bad he should have been hooked at HT. Rose should not have started - he has been defensively terrible all season. Dele is an average CM but a world class 2nd striker / ACM - he was a pedestrian with the tactics Poch used. And the most criminal thing is that everyone must have seen it was a matter of time until Liverpool scored their winner ... and yet Poch stubbornly stuck to his principles and left the team playing deeper and deeper, and letting Liverpool create chance after chance from their FBs.

I don't disagree, but I don't think starting Ndombele would have been the answer. What happens when he runs out of steam? We bring on the players you talk about and we are still pissed off? No one on the pitch didn't work hard today.

Has to go during the next international break, can’t see where a win is coming from in the League & he continues to pick out of form players & liabilities

How many more make or breaks we giving the fella
No I agree. However after these ‘clear the air’ talks, dinner, result against red star etc, we all expected a loss against Liverpool.

If we fail to beat Everton next week though, that’s entirely different.

The bar before the game today was that we needed to show commitment, fight, desire and some semblance of giving a fuck. Eriksen, Alli, winks struggled to use the ball when they got it but we certainly did not drop our heads and we're up for a fight.

Bayern, Brighton we let our heads drop.

Was today a matter of personal pride for the players against CL foes? I guess we will see next week.

Setting the precedent that a few players can disrupt our entire coaching staff is though. (imo)
Why would they if majority of the squad is in agreement to the manager's method?

In normal employment, employees can just tender and leave if they are not happy for whatever reasons. They can't do that in football unless they buy out their contracts. How do you expect them to perform at the best, collectively, when the problem is more clearly now due to the single one man, the manager?

What makes you believe that?
Perhaps it's the shit players and formations he picks. Nobody who cares would pick out of form players that he does regularly. On top of that he sells the only proper right back of any note to At Mad.

It's not as if we have a lot of players in form to choose from! Most on here were delighted to see the back of Trippier.
