Reminds me of us under poch late winners away at Watford and things like that, young side attacking intent, never say die attitude, good energy.

Unfortunately, everything we are not :(

We are still 4th but this season it feels like we are about 12th. 🥱
Well... we didn't win anything then. Hope you're right 😁😁

How the hell did we let this Leicester side score 4 ffs. I'm almost more annoyed about that match seeing them just get beaten by Southampton.

Yea this arsenal side are slightly more consistent than we were but we only didn’t win the PL that year because Contes Chelsea won about 17 games in a row.

This season no one is particularly consistent apart from arsenal.
You still have to take your chances. Tottenham don't do that... at all.

As I always moan about when Spurs concede a goal in that fashion (including two vital goals in separate semi finals in recent years), why do teams not mark people on the edge of the box at corners? Such an obvious place for the second ball to go and basically allows the opposition to hammer a free shot at goal. I think it's bonkers.

That is true, although I think if we’d give poch better squad depth we could’ve won something with him.

I remember the FA CUP semi vs Chelsea for example yes son LWB was madness from poch but we got it back to 2-2 and were playing well but 60 mins in we were tiring and had 0 options on the bench, Chelsea bring on Hazard & Costa and proceed to win 4-2.

It’s a pity that for whatever reason when we had our best manager and team and momentum for 20/30 years we didn’t built on that with a few top signings to help get us over the line. Take arsenal now for example this Jan they go out and get trossard a hugely important piece in their attacking squad depth, we never strengthened from a position of strength we only react from a position of weakness.

The biggest knock on impact for us being shit and not securing top 4 is that it allows someone else in at our expense to reap the benefits. Either Newcastle get the leappad to become an "elite" club and make some better signings that their wealth justifies or Liverpool get the finances required to continue a much needed rebuild. Both of these are very bad for us.

I genuinely miss those days where I had belief all the way up until the final whistle. We clawed back so many wins in the final 10 mins, it was almost a guarantee at one stage. If we were behind we would catch up. Desire and grit that we haven’t seen from these players in over 4 years.

The longer we stand still the more chance their is of teams leaping us. We have been spoilt to be in the top 4 consistently but the teams around us will put is in 8th if the board don’t get their shit together.

Surely one of the few nice memories we have under Conte’s reign has been the late wins and comebacks?

Watford away, Leicester away, City away, Bournemouth away, Marseille away, Chelsea away, Leeds at home etc

The story has rather been that we’ve given ourself an uphill battle too many times rather than being unable to comeback.

We've certainly had it in patches, but under Poch it felt like a forgone conclusion.

I miss the consistency we used to show in this department.

I'm one of those fans that can handle a bad result if I see the effort.

That's why I always believed in Emerson. He has that grit.
