Probably been pointed out already, but the US sports formulation "most valuable player" (second, third, fourth etc) would be a bit clearer and more useful in terms of meaning than "best" here.

Nobody really cares about negative ratings mate so I wouldn't worry. The Internet is full of other people's opinions and "WTF" is just one of those opinions!

Incidentally I agree about Defoe. He is in our history books as one of our top scorers which is great, but imo there's a difference between performance on paper and on grass. Either way, it looks like he will come in around 15th in this poll which is probably about right - an incredibly good option off the bench!

Amazing.
Just been reading, again, how our purchases over the last several years have been poor (yawn, tight-wad Levy yawn blah blah blah - like, we have half the revenues of our rivals FFS ), and I pop in here just out of interest and this is what I see.
The nine players selected go towards one of the best first elevens in the country, and the ten players left plus, say, Adam Smith or Naughton, would give us a second eleven that is probably better than our first team ten years ago (approximately).

Adebayor had two (very) good games all season. And His return of goals would have looked out place for a striker in a mid table team. Dawson put 100% into every match.
