Reguilon had the worst performance at LB I can remember in my tenure being a Spurs fan, and that includes some real tripe including Bassong, Zeki Fryers, and even some of Davies and Rose's ignominious stinkers. I never watched Gilberto or Gary Doherty though.
Paolo tramezzani levels today.

Our first test of potential new players should be a mental strength test as our players are so fragile mentally.

You wonder how some of them got this far...

Players Were scared shitless to make mistakes and in their indecision made even worse mistakes

Lloris - 6 - Should have conceded a penalty with a mad decision to do a pointless dive early in the first half.
Tanganga - 6 - Never really got to grips with his opponent.
Toby - 6 - Should be commanding the back line as the senior defender but was quiet and let Dier wander all over the place.
Dier - 3 - Constantly dropped deeper than the other defenders giving them a ball over the top for Watkins to chase. it is because he is scared of pace and not a very good defender.
Reguilon - 3 - Would have been 2 but he showed guts and effort second half. Terrible first half though. Really terrible.
Højbjerg - 4 - Been terrible since Feb. Hard to believe how influential he was up until January. He looks knackered. He also looks slow. Reminds me more and more of Steffen Freund than a Viking Warrior. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and just say he needs a good summer holiday.
Winks - 3 - He follows the ball like he's 8 years old in a kids game and is *always* the wrong side of the player in the space he is supposed to be defending. Nowhere near good enough.
Dele - 5 - Started quite brightly and covered a lot of ground pressing, just everything he did in possession was poor. Under-hit passes, failed flicks, weak shots. Underwhelming. Not a number 10 as he slows play down too much.
Son - 3 - Totally anonymous. Do not think he is signing a new contract and may well leave before Kane.
Bergwijn - 6 - Great goal, our best offensive player by a long way today. Should have done better with at least one of his other two big chances. Unlucky to get hooked for Bale.
Kane - 4 - Probably their CBs easiest game of the season. Despite his obvious technical quality he looks unfit and disinterested.

Bale - 7 - Looked really up for it and clearly was motivated by wanting to put on a show for the fans.
Ndombele - 7 - Showed in 2 minutes why he is so much better than Winks in CM.
Doherty - n/a - not on long enough to get judged.

Mason - 5 - I hope he learns from this. Playing Dier, Dele and Winks smacks of mates rates when they want to get into the England squad. Ultimately, whoever was manager for these games would be screwed as Mourinho, as was the case at United, has left a very unfit and demotivated squad behind.

Reggie was unequivocally the worst, but Son and Alli were a very close second. Did absolutely nothing right between them, coughing the ball up continuously. And to top it all off, both were lazy as fuck.

The midfield central pairing were shocking. Weak, negative and offered nothing.

Mason’s selections, subs and lack of changing of the system were predictably lame.

There is a rot in this club. So many problems, no idea how we’re going to fix them.

I once watched Gary Doherty be the best player on the pitch in a Spurs XI friendly against Chesham. Genuinely think that might have been a higher quality performance than today's...

Hugo 6

Reggie 0
Dier 4
Toby 7
Tang 5

PEH 1
Winks 1

Son 1
Kane 5
Dele 3
Bergwjin 6

Decent cameo ndombele, not so much bale
I agree with most of this

Hugo 7 actually kept us in it
Tanganga 5 not bad but not an attacking threat at all. Sadly his injury looks a bad one
Toby 7 played pretty well considering
Dier 6 lots of blocks. No composure
Reguilon 1 simply awful. Sessegnon immediately becomes first choice upon his return.
winks 0 he has no redeemable qualities. Baffled how he is getting in the team. Trotted around for 77 minutes.
hojbjerg 2 he’s vocal. Not sure I agree with what he’s saying though. Or doing.
dele 1 pundits say he’s great. They’re wrong. Another one who trots around offering little
Son 2 can’t actually remember him doing anything
Bergwijn 7 written off by many here, back with a bang. Worth preserving with, shouldn’t have been subbed.
kane 3 played with a face like a slapped arse. Not a performance to show you’re happy here.

mason 0 as soon as I saw the starting lineup I was worried. Bale might get struggle with 3 games in a week but lo Celso shouldn’t.
the selection was atrocious and in game management was non existent. I’m actually concerned about him returning to the u23 after that. He really damaged his reputation tonight with such an inept performance.

General rant: our problems run deeper than weak individauls (pick your scapegoat in Winks or wohever), bad player-selection or subs.

We leak too many goals, can't play against a press, and lack the physical intensiy to compete.

Looking at all our games from March we've only failed to score once, against Man City, so the problem is greater at our own end of the pitch (until Kane leaves that is), despite obvious problems in creating chances.

We;ve only kept 3 clean sheets in the same period of time, against Sheffield Utd, Villa and Fulham. 2 of these sides are relegated.

We've not won a single game against a top-10 side; this goes all the way back to Jan (last one was against Leeds). We have our kind schedule to thank in the last 3 months for where we are now; this could have been much worse.

Our rebuild-job has to start at the back. All our established defenders are above 26; Regi at 24 is the only exception.
Davison Sanchez has had a stinker of a season with only 17 games played.

We need a coach who can make us better defensively..thats the top priority.

Bergwijn was probably the best spurs player but he missed a couple of guilt-edged chances. Can't understand why he was hooked first. 7
The rest of the team 6 (between all of them)

Should have been Son that came off when Bale came on. He offers very little unless he scores these days.

Bergwijn and Toby did OK?

Rest not good.

Reguilon..... made me miss Ben Davies. I'll be very annoyed if the new boss doesn't give Sessegnon a run down our left side. He can't be worse than what we've witnessed this season from all 4 of our full backs.

Dad was stewarding there having been there last two home game wins but he failed today.

When he gets in I’ll ensure I suitably boo him.

Tanganga, Bergwijn and... no just those 2.

The only 2 players that realise you have to get to the ball first, not just wait for it to roll to your foot (looking at you Son and Ali)

Actually Regi wasn't too bad if you ignore the couple of obvious brainfarts.

Bergwijn MOM.
