We have a good team yes, but he has the brains, the big match temperament and charisma that we now don't have.

We'll miss him this season, we already are, it doesn't mean we're fucked though - particularly as we have brought in some attributes that we didn't have last season, but I would have loved him to stay.

We should definitely invite him back for Ledley's testimonial, he'd get a huge reception at WHL.

Wonderful player, no team phased him at all, has a winners mentality.

Loved his celebrations, he always went mental like a school kid scoring on the playground!

Any team would miss someone of his calibre and any fan would miss someone of his personality. But like the crying ex-boyfriend who has just been dumped, we have to move on. No point wondering whether we would be better/worse without him, time to focus on the players we have, not the players we used to have.

Given Spurs history of flash-in-the pan success that is just nonsensical.
I'm thinking more of in the last 10 years where we had too many 14th place finishes, finally broke top 7, top 5, the elusive 4th place twice, so close to third last season.

I often thought Harry pulled him for no real reason. Sure there were times he was blowing hard, as were Parker, Ade, Lennon & Modric. He became a scape goat, "unfit" etc... But he's not a Parker "run about a bit" type player.

We miss his deft touch, vision, & goals.

Amen.

What's the point in pining over a player that used to be here but has gone and won't be coming back. It's pointless.

We all loved Rafa, he's a top class player but we were offered good money and even though he probably would have stayed, at his age, with the niggly injuries he was getting and with his wife being in Germany, he always wanted to go back.

It's time to think ahead and be positive about what we have now and who we could end up signing in the future.

Some on here remind me of the silly girls way back when - who cried their eyes out when The Bay City Rollers split up!

Just for clarity, this is fuck all to do with pining for anyone, or getting over anything. The cold hard facts are that we are quite clearly, quite obviously, MUCH worse off without VdV. Anyone with half a braincell can work that out. It's just the typical modern day footballer who cant think back longer than their cock when forming an opinion on this. Some of you fucks even waited until we lucked a win at Old Trafford to come back into this thread and mark the original post of 'WE ARE MUCH WORSE OFF WITHOUT RAFA' as a disagree, as if you were making some kind of point.

This is a fucking internet forum, I couldn't give a flying fuck what ratings people want to give, but disagreeing with something so fucking obvious is much more concerning especially when it appears that some people form their opinions on watching the previous 90 minutes of fucking football.

Wise up.
