Not a big Vdv fan Spurs_Bear, sorry.

I found him very frustrating to watch throughout his time at Hamburg, Real and Spurs due to his dia lack of athleticism and his sad vulnerability to injury. He did though surprise me and undoubtedly had renaissance at Spurs as he was very poor at Real, but played well when fit in our setup.

We are though much worse without 'a fit' Rafa?
Yes.
But also Kabule, BAE, Parker, Ade and a certain Mr Modric. Also laterly Bale and Dembele.

BUT we are though as you correctly say - all allowed our two penneth.

Pav! Not for me - but remember, I don't profess to be right - it's just how I perceive players. I'm just an average joe. It is standing joke between my and Mrs as soon as shoot at the TV "bloody Rafa!"......he would go down the other end a score.

Pav great striker of a ball but did not do much else..........unlike Ade. Ade is my type of footballer and the I likes of the Berbatov's of this world

I am not bothered that we sold him as it was the right thing to do given his family situation but it is beyond question that we are weaker creatively and in terms of end product as a result.

I'm not looking to write Sig or Dempsey off but be real, neither are or will ever be fit to lace his boots. He was world class and we were unable to replace him

We lost Modric and VdV and aside from Dembele Levy failed to deliver any real quality to off set their loss so we are worse off man for man
