Just to play Devil's Advocate, if Soldado was okay with the move, all they really have to do is ask the agent what he agreed to with us.

And any agent worth his salt would say that their client is he'll bent on the current offer to try and prise more money out of the new suitors. It's because they're all bastards.

So why is Baldini out there if its so unlikely? That makes no sense.

Look I'm not saying cast Iron he's ours yet, nobody knows that. But we aren't sending Baldini out there to offer them a derisory offer.

He's out there because we are very serious about getting him. We still have to show due diligence and get the best possible deal for the Club.

Maybe the fee is more in our ball park. Maybe we are after a different one of their players. Maybe they are friends.

I told myself not to get excited about itk again this window, but i cant help myself. Saldados finishing and movement is something we havent seen a spursstriker do since Berba!

To be fair, there's not much ITK here. There are photos of Baldini there and there's actual quotes. It's a lot like Paulinho but with more photos.

I don't understand where we don't pay up for Benteke but we do pay up for Soldado unless Villa were firm with their £25m up front and Valencia are more realistic on that front. There you go, answered my own question.

I have a similar doubt when Man Utd buy Van persie last year, but I trust AVB

I think few ITKs here sayng Soldado was the no.1 target. Ryan perhaps? Maybe we were given encouraging signs by Valencia and walked away from Benteke deal?

If Van Persie gets hurt this year for an any extended period of time, the league could be absolutely wide open for the taking. It might be even without an RVP injury, too.

Yes...It looks promising indeed, but don't forget what happend to us with the two Croatian kids. Dinamo chairman said the deal with Tottenham was almost done and was expecting them to join Tottenham. One of them is now humping the sun in Rome and the other one is being run over by his greedy family. So...

.... I really hope this will happen but "It's almost done" gives me the chills :/

And Soldado pisses all over Benteke...

You don't really need the internets do you, a typewriter would be enough to solve most issues.

Hello!

So hopefully Soldados parents are fine with their son moving to England.

Hello!

The difference being that we have apparently already have been given the go-ahead by Soldado's camp. The thing that apparently stalled the Croatian Kids.

I'm happy to admit I'm wrong but iirc in 10/11 we were reported to have made c30million from co revenue. The accounts for said period coincidently showed a c30million profit.

Again that might be my questionable memory but that's certainly how I remember it.

the things with the accounts is sometimes player trading (or the way they are dealt with) and cut offs do funny things to them. I think income from CL was about 25-30million (i seem to recall in my head) and total increase (from the previous year) that season was about 40 million but at the same time the operating expenses jumped over the same period to 30 so we ended up with about 10million up over that CL period. And you are right about a profit but it was 2009 (berbatov sale etc) but without the sales it we would have made a 25 million loss.

What we really need to get our hands on is cashflow as that will show you how much the club can really spend at any time as with things like amortisation (which will not match the actual payments being made for players) included in the accounts they can be hard to comprehend what they actually mean.

I agree. Also Aguero, Negredo, Lukaku, Torres, Suarez, Rooney, Podolski... etc.
