Delighted to get these two talented youngsters on long term deals. Hopefully both will get some game time for us this season, they have very bright futures ahead of them.

Like others have mentioned, extremely impressed with Rose at LB. He showed good defensive qualities and showed enough in his cameo appearances there to indicate he's got a bright future there, reminds me a lot of that old Arse left back Ashley Cole, when he was converted from a midfielder to a LB effectively by Wenger. If we can do the same with Rose I'd be delighted!

Walker will be our 1st choice next season, Corluka and Hutton should be sold and let Naughton be back up.

Ekotto has nothing to worry about Rose nicking his spot, but if he does leave for France, Danny should be given the chance to replace him.

I hope Harry will be better at rotating his squad next season - and give Ekotto some breaks by playing Rose at LB.
Walker, well, if he is as good as the reports from Villa I guess Spurs will have a solid RB for a few seasons to come.

I don't think BAE needed rotating too much til he got injured.. LOTS of games, consistent and very fit. Didn't seem to get jaded or go off the boil, so think you're advocating rotating for rotating's sake ;)

Next season hopefully those FA and LC columns will fill out a bit & in the Europa early rounds & LC at least there should be chances for youngsters (which is different IMO to squad rotation)

P. Player Position PL CL FA LC Total
1 Aaron Lennon Midfielder 34 10 1 1 46
2 Benoît Assou-Ekotto Defender 30 12 2 1 45
3 Peter Crouch Forward 35 9 1 0 45
4 Luka Modrić Midfielder 32 9 2 0 43
5 Gareth Bale Midfielder 29 12 0 0 41

Delighted Walker signed a new contract, really looks the part at full back, defensively and attacking. He's already shown how good he can be while playing with Aston Villa last season. He will be our first choice right back next season, and will definatly get a look in this season i hope.

Hutton can go, then we still have Corluka & the also excellant Kyle Naughton.

Rose i still dont rate that much. He most certainly isnt an attacking player, but i cant see how he'll hold down a regular spot further into his career at Spurs.

Just remembered isn't this an African Cup of Nations year? BAE will go unless he's thrown off Cameroon team by now and Jan, making it very like that Rose will get a true audition like Bale did.
