Too many of this squad are past it (Toby, Jan, Rose, Lloris) have regressed massively (Dele, Sanchez), been run into the ground (Kane) or flat out not good enough (Moura, Sissoko, Winks, Aurier, Lamela)

Negligence from the club from the top down to piss away the strides forward we made under the first few years of Poch

Agree that is a terrible record. But putting all the blame on him is a simplification. There's plenty of blame to go around. Don't you think the players are being a bit gutless and gormless? Hard to ignore just how shitty their attitudes are.
I dont think anybody making negative remarks about Mourinho are saying the players are in no way to blame.

Bottom line is Mourinho's record is shockingly poor. And the footballs been turgid.

The two seasons or so of virtually zero investment were criminally incompetent from Levy. He’s done a lot right for the club, but that was a big fuck up that we paying for massively now.

I’m not a fan of Mourinho and was massively underwhelmed when he was appointed, but today’s showing can’t be blamed on him. The players showed no fight and couldn’t do the basics when defending. The Sheffield Utd players did simple pass and run movements around the edge of our box and completely bamboozled our players, they also showed more desire and endeavour and didn’t resort to running in a straight line for fifty yards every time they got the ball.

Wasn't it mentioned that Poch wanted either De Jong or nobody around that time?

The defending for the goal was up there with my sons Under 11's. It was worse than embarrassing, looked like they could just not be bothered. Something not right with this team...end of the season cant come quick enough.

We are a mid table team now at best. Sad to say but we are miles off Wolves nevermind City or Liverpool

wolves have an identity. they are enjoyable to watch. We are a shell of a club.

Why would any young person choose this spurs team as the one to follow. shit at the back , shit up front, no nous in the middle. drink driving club captain goal keeper .awful right back who made homophobic comments in the past.

at least when we were shit in the past we had ginola, gazza, klinsmann berbatov to give us hope or at least something to stand up an applaud from time to time.

this team has nothing. consistently mediocre . even the games we win we look rubbish.

The last time we played superbly was the hiding we gave leicester at the end of 2018

Could have had Sander Berge and moulded him into the player he wanted ...

Then again (not sure on this) we could have had him in the winter window just gone?

Two strikes.

I’ve hung out hope that Mourinho’s ‘serial winner’ methods would start to pay dividends by now, but I don’t feel we’re any better than when Poch left. At least he was likeable. I believed Jose’s arrogance and petulance may have been the missing ingredient, perhaps Poch was too much a ‘nice guy’. We just do not look to have progressed at all over the last two years. The football is painful to watch. At least if there were some signs of a style starting to be imparted you could buy into a longer term plan, but this is just aimless. Jose has just become a name now, he doesn’t seem to have had the tactical impact we all hoped. I’m not sure how much longer I want to watch this dross football. Barring one or two players, the squad is bang average, lacks leaders and any sense of urgency or hunger. I don’t see how that is changing any time soon.
As for the rumours surrounding summer transfers, the names are so scattergun it appears to lack any kind of structure. The club needs change top to bottom. Our development side is so weak, we have lost some real talent because the pathway to the first team appears broken.
And to compound it, the scum are above us.
I’m not seeing many things to be positive about in the world of Spurs.
New manager required who has a defined style of play, dynamic, that the players (new and old) can buy into. Results may not be instant, but signs of improvement would be hugely welcomed, something to believe in. New development setup which provides a clear pathway incentive for the best youth players. New DoF to bring some strategy to our incoming transfers and also development loans.
That’s a tall order.

Wake up and smell the coffee !!! Half the squad are bang average!! We do need a revamp simple !
Bang average? What about Sheffield Utd’s squad then? Or the other ‘bottom-half’ teams that regularly play better-looking football than we do? Are they actually better footballers than ours? Do you actually believe that? Or do they have a better coaching team, one that is capable of making a team more than the sum of its parts. It’s one or the other.

Arsenal are a soulless mismanaged omnishambles of an organisation who have been ran into the ground systematically over the last decade. From the top down their club is a laughing stock.

They are ahead of us.

We had a former Manager, may be one of the best in the world, who loves the club, who promised loyalty to us, who made history, who change the Club's mind and made us a competitive team in England and Europe, but we fired him just for a bad beginning of the season.
And a few days later, we hired the third most expensive manager in the world... JUST FOR THIS? Just for have central backs who have the agility of a light pole? Just for be out of the Europa League?

Where would we be today if we hadn't had Poch? What would happen to Kane, Dele, Walker, Dier without him?

Dear Daniel Levy: spending money isn't enough to be a great club.

nice try Mauricio, but your avatar gave you away

I honestly believe that in setting the team up not to press it makes them passive. Pressing the ball, even in your own half only, should be an absolute minimum for a team in this league. How people on here can defend this passive rubbish is beyond me.

WE WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL PLAYING PASSIVE FOOTBALL!

Agree to a point, you have to be aggressive, even if it’s just when defending.

I don’t necessarily believe you have to press high and dominate the ball to be successful ( as proved both by Leicester and Chelsea with Conte).

Not that I think it’s going to work out with Jose or that I enjoy watching us on the back foot mind.

However, I do think one part of the problem though is that in order to succeed playing this containing and counter attack way you have to have players who show good decision making and composure in the final third. As by playing this way you have less of the ball and therefore less opportunities presented to you in these areas.

Unfortunately, we have far too many head down, poor decision makers with a very inconsistent execution in those vital areas.

And that’s before we even get to our defence.
