I wonder I Abramovich is having doubts about Lampard ? he is spending big and pushing the brilliant youngsters further back as regards the first team . After pursuading the young players that were near the end of their contract to sign new deals it seems with a route to the first team very much a possibility . With the five big signings they must feel as tho they have been sold a dud .because the first team is now further away than it was previously its not a recipe for good team spirit .

It has already been decided that all Qualifiers will be played behind closed doors. But where? This info I can`t find anywhere. Which of the two teams will play at home?
Fans or no fans, it's not a bad thing to avoid the long trips.

Don’t think I could correctly pronounce a single team on this list.

Let’s hope we get drawn as the home team.

It will depend on the draw

Hopefully they'll have the seeded teams play at home for these qualifiers. That would be handy.

If you give an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewrites, they will very quickly reproduce a Europa League Qualifying Draw

We can face so many good europeans teams in the playoffs.

It won't be easy.
What that's showing for the Playoff Round is the worst-case scenario - it assumes that every seeded team will win in the prior rounds, which obviously won't happen. In reality it'll probably only be the teams from roughly AEK Athens downwards who are actually unseeded - although AC Milan is certainly possible!

I would have liked the excuse visit a city like Saligorsk for a couple of days (or even long weekend, going really mad!) - shame that won't even be a sweetener for the qualifying stages. But I hope we take the competition seriously, the Premier League has become much tougher for us than it was previous few years, and EL is a good second chance for CL qualification

AC Milan have the best attack post-lockdown.

Yep - they're definitely the nightmare draw, but will probably end up in the seeded section. Would still be a 1 in 12 shot of meeting them in the Group Stage though where they'd only be a Pot 3 team!

Makes no friggin sense tbvh. I understand how it works. But how can we have two extremely poor qualifiers, then face very strong team in play/offs? Farcical
Very strong is really pushing it barring the unlikely Milan scenario. The toughest teams in it last season as an indication were Spartak Moscow and Torino. Which isn't a huge step up from Austria Wien or Trabzonspor in the 3rd round really. It's only the 2nd where we're guaranteed somebody silly, but in all likelihood we'll be very strong favourites for the other rounds too unless (and probably even if) we pick out the absolute best teams possible.
