Positive performance there. Kept the ball well and some good individual performances, I thought Reguillon and Tanganga were excellent and Dier and Sanchez defended well. Only slight worry is Hojbjerg and Skipp don’t quite look sharp enough at the moment. Skipp covers a lot of ground and is good defensively but he was caught being too slow or clumsy on the ball a few times and it was the same for Hojbjerg. Lo Celso gave a much better feeling of composure in the midfield when he came on.

Tanganga really is a very good young player and I think him and Serge for the RB position is great. Horses for courses. He might not be amazing going forward but he’s rapid, strong as ox, so solid defensively and he’s a real competitor. Challenges for everything and if he doesn’t win the ball he makes it difficult for the opponent as he’s so strong. Really hope we keep him around as he’s very useful when he’s fit

Tanganga looks a lot better on the right than he did in the centre, Le Celso looks comfortably the best option to partner PEH in the middle, Son still looking lively and finding the net, both goalies look good and Reggie playing better. Nice to have some positives.

tanganga and sanchez probably the winners from today.

bergwijn again did very little but will stay in by virtue of us having no one else.

Throughly enjoyed that. Best Spurs performance for some time even with game being what it was.

Problem is, what's the alternative?

Alli only worked as a LW, Son replaced him in that role.

Alli isnt a creative midfielder in the slightest and looked poor when Eriksen wasn't playing in the hole

As for Sissoko, Poch and Mourinho didn't have many alternative options. Though Mourinho imo wrongly played sissoko as the DM next to Hojberg because the CB's were so poor. He did soon drop him though but I literally saw last season Hojberg shouting at sissoko to get in space and give him an option

Have you watched preseason?

Dele is being played in a new role and is doing really very well with it. My MotM today.

Judge him by what he does now, not what he did last season or the season before.

Decent performance all round… we look a lot more defensively solid as a team but we desperately need a striker and Reguilon gives me the jitters.

Enjoyed that. It's the first time i've seen the midfield three working coherently for a whole match in pre season. Gio had an impact when he came on. I hope he's fit enough to start against Man City. Tanganga is levels above Doherty at RB but we still need an upgrade in that area. Sanchez is ahead of Dier as an option to partner Romero imo, if we don't sign another CB.

Well, that was fairly decent. Add a bit of class and flair and it may not be as doom and gloom as some suggest.

Some players written off had pretty decent games and Tanganga could really be an option at RB. Hope we see a lot more of Gio this season. ?

Hojbjerg giving a superb and inspiring post match interview. The spirit at the club seems one of positiveness and excitement. If the players can feel that way then as supporters we definitely should.

Just listened to Hojbjerg talking to Spurs TV, fella needs to be made captain. An absolute leader.

Another dig? Possibly not, but love it either way.
PEH has just mentioned something about trying every day, working hard every day, players giving their all every day to improve and help the club get better. Wondering if they've been briefed

Am really liking Gollini, didn’t have too much to do in terms of saves but was very comfortable with the ball at this feet. Think that translates to the CBs being more at ease, and radiates out from there. We were playing out from the back nicely the last 10 mins.

Overall, a decent performance. Still work to do for Nuno but it’s early days. I’m optimistic.
