Good 45.

Makes me so angry about how negatively we set up. It’s a fucking joke.
I don't think the injuries to our attackers helped with how we had to set up today and actually I didn't see us camped on the edge of our box, even if they went 0-2 up.

Dier’s brain fart really cost us today.

Could have been the same mid-week with that woeful up-and-under backwards into our box.

He obviously doesn’t fancy the trip to Qatar!

We show that we can, it is the dredful lConte tactics at start of the games every time. If you want the stadium with you, you press like that from the start!

So they made a 1 mins substitution and a 45 second goal kick in 4 mins of injury time… and the ref played 12 seconds extra. Most biased ref I can remember
Is this ref a lesser experience one? He doesn't seem familiar. Such a high profile game shouldn't be officiated by someone so dicked out with crucial moments.

Left too much to do in the 2nd half, ref did us no favours, but you cannot keep carrying players that are not good enough and for God sakes no more defending Emerson Royals performances.

Considering the players we had out, we’ve played surprisingly well and deserve something out of the game.

Despite the naysayers, there’s reason to be optimistic for when the season restarts after the World Cup and even more so if we can bring a couple in this coming January
The negativity is getting boring! We are quite clearly a work in progress. Top 4 this season while building towards next season would be a win for me.

We were great today especially 2nd half and Deki brought instant quality but as has been mentioned we always fuck up against the big teams and today was Diers turn ,it’s usually Hugo .I’m not as upset as usual because we showed up and played well just the usual suspects doing the usual mistakes, time to get rid of these bog average players or it’s just rinse and repeat.

I hope lessons are learned, like Royal never playing for us again. Great 2nd 45, I hope we can build on that. Liverpool were shut, gutted we let them take 3 points.

Easily our best performance. We win that comfortably if we’d actually done what we needed to do and signed elite level players in defence.
Agreed but we can't afford to give teams a free first half. Continually starting slow has become a habit which we need to break.

If we had played with the same intensity in the first as we had in the second we would have won that game.

Fuck Dier.

Credit where it’s due.
lenglet, Bissouma, Bentancur, Kane Perisic (apart from his corners) were all great.
kulusevski and Doherty showed us what a functioning right flank can look like.

we will only get better
