Personally I would probably put PEH on for Gil, for a bit more solidity, and just go for a purely counter attack approach with Johnson and Son's pace. Not a huge PEH fan but we are so open here so I think he would help.

- Davies is a senior international with hundreds of PL appearances
- Royal is a Brazilian international signed for £20m from one of the best sides in Spain
- Bryan was a £20m/£40m signing depending on how much you value Lamela and someone who’s done well in spells in Spain
- GLC was a £45m signing and currently in the Argentinian squad that won the WC 12 months ago

they’re definitely drop offs on 1st team but shouldn’t we be expecting more from players of this calibre?

1st two playing out of position and together.
Last two playing with very little minutes in their legs and little/no time playing with these players in this system. (In a real match)

I rather he just says he hates us. I will respect him fully if he can do that TBH.

He doesn't hate us, he says it how he sees it, that's all. But say something that doesn't sit well with the sensibilities of your average emotionally unstable SC'er and away we go. It'll always be taken too literally. And on very many occasions he's been very complimentary as well. But fuck that, there's zero interest on here in showing the fairness or balance we require of any given pundit.

It baffles me how someone can be accused of talking bollocks and be subjected to exactly the same literally in the same sentence

Nah, we’re being dominated physically and providing no cover to defence. PEH is the only one that fan help us get some semblance of control in midfield. As difficult as that is against this lot.

Ball into Johnson with his back to Walker at LW, he takes a touch and first time passes it back and we open the pitch out to the other side, that simple change compared to Gil constantly giving it away will help us have a little more of the ball hopefully.

Some of that has to do with Man City's press and their relentlessness. Some of our players can't handle that - technically and/or mentally.
