Brilliant response in the second half to what was a very sloppy(at the back especially) performance. We went to home of the champions with a make shift team and in that 2nd half dominated the game. Give Postecoglou the players he needs/wants over the next 2-3 windows and we will be a force to be reckoned with.
We could maybe have sneaked a win if Bissouma had not given the ball away for their 3 goal. It’s alright playing out from the back but you can’t be trying tricks like trying to nutmeg a player like Rodri in your final third.
Don’t know if anyone else noticed but Postecoglou seems to have a (not so) subtle way of expressing his displeasure with certain players. Bissouma carelessly gives the ball away leading to the 3rd goal and is substituted almost immediately. Then Johnson carelessly gives the ball away which could have led to another goal for Grealish if the referee hadn’t made a mess of things and he’s substituted straight afterwards.

Poor old Man City

Must be so hard for them when the system is so clearly rigged against the poor mites

…and to think the big bullies are now going to talk about their 100+ charges too. Why won’t they just let this organic grass roots club grow like it’s trying to?

Some shocking overreactions at half time. I did say we were still in it. Royal and Davies getting pelters was unfair. Either way an excellent dogged performance second half and we grew into it more. I think we were the better side second half.

City will grumble about the Grealish one on one but our defenders had stopped bar Davies. It's all ifs and buts if he scores but all in all the ref done pretty well and both teams were fair.

Good result, time to build on this

The frustrating thing is. Had we not lost our heads and had subsequent injuries v Chelsea, we - in all likelihood - would have won the last 4 games.

Don't blame them for the reaction as I'm sure we'd have been the same. It was a horrendous decision to call up when Grealish was through, and that is as good an advantage as you'll get. But, how Haaland (or others) were not booked is still baffling to me.

Haaland was booked

Get a fully fit squad and there’s no reason we can’t go on a lengthy unbeaten run again. In fact I think the second half of the season could basically mirror the first. Just getting players fit and keeping that way consistently is the key.

It’s just about navigating this period of players missing as best we can, totally understand it’s going to be bumpy, but we just need to pick up what we can like we have today and we have every chance of really finishing strong when everyone’s back.

He blows with the wind. At least Keane tells you how it is. Carragher is an ear piece controlled puppet.
Not sure about that as Keane doesn’t think will be top 4. He doesn’t see our potential when we have our full squad back, but maybe carragher does?

I’m pleased Ange made that half time sub cos Gil against walker was a total mismatch and shows that he can change systems .big shout out to Kulu who I have been critical of recently . We have to grab as many points as we can till mid jan and then really push on .

I was only able to watch the 2nd half today, and I have to say the single most beautiful aspect of Ange’s Spurs is that *every single player* has drunk the kool-aid.

You can’t have watched that 2nd half with anything but admiration for perennial hate-getters PEH, Skippy, and GLC (who I was never convinced by, but who is fast threatening first-team inclusion.) Some of these players were THIRD choices, folks!

Everyone put in a shift, everyone thought about pushing forward and being progressive. It’s a beautiful thing.
