I hope you're right but we can't afford any passengers off the ball, particularly in the engine room. It's so infuriating that such a world class talent can't do the basic things like tracking a man. I hope he can apply himself.

Players are not allowed to track men, they have to stay in this rigid system under cast iron shackles, there is no element of flexibility under this regime of Jose, so as much as i understand your point , the player is defo not fully to blame

I don't think he is our greatest player - but surely Sessegnon would have made more sense on the wing when we're sitting so deep - as an actual attacking out ball - rather than a central midfielder.

He should have been on for Son definitely. Gedson wasn't a bad choice as a sub as he is reasonably mobile and has a burst forward and that was needed - what I thought we should have been doing was what we were doing first half: a) go back to engaging them at the halfway line, rather than at our penalty area and b) find new runners for the counter attack against Utd's dodgy high line as Bergwijn, Son, Lamela, Kane tired.

Tbh we looked in a better shape now then before Covid-19 lockdown. A game plan and the players kept their composure. Okey, a personal error from Dier, which were one of the better players tonight but overall a good performance team wise

I mean it was a pen, but I believe if it weren't given it wouldn't have been overturned. It was soft, soft doesn't mean it's not a penalty. But it's frustrating because we haven't been given those kind of pens this season, and that's the thing, VAR makes all of these things seem 'unarguable' which makes it more frustrating.

VAR looked at the first pen for quite some time (because it was so soft) but they can't over-turn it because it's just incredibly soft NOT a clear and obvious error.

Not sure why Bruno wasn't carded for an obvious dive. Does VAR give that kind of advice? @MK Yid ?
