Again, the transition almost kills us. Winks left alone in the middle with our back three being pulled back towards our goal.

Winks takes the safe option far too much. Had time then but went straight back to Davies then Davies had no options

We're fully in dropping deep and counter territory here - receded all control in midfield.

Passive first 25 minutes. The goal switched us on and we then took hold of the game. Been a passive start the second half also.
I’m still not convinced by the 4231, the two are not dynamic enough, or lack the all round game maybe. I think we’d be better with Lamela dropping deeper into a CM 3, which would also give more room for Son and Bergwijn.
My one hope for this enforced break was that it would allow Jose to spend some time getting the organisation right. Let’s see.
