Just hope to see an intelligent, coordinated effort where the players give it their all and leave nothing on the pitch. And no injuries.

The form we were in wasn't great but when you have injuries to your more potent attacking players, you're going to struggle.

I believe our form before the for mentioned injuries was pretty good, just behind Liverpool.

So having a fully fit squad might just reverse our luck.

I'm in two minds about Europe next season, one thing is I'm going to miss the European games but if we don't have them and with the right signings we might be able to challenge for the league.

A full strength side gives us one of the strongest attacking lineups I've ever seen from us. Something like:

NDombele, Winks/Sissoko, Lo Celso
Bergwiyn/Lamela, Kane, Son

Is frankly ridiculous.

In Kane we have one of the very best strikers in the world and in Son we have one of the best wingers. Then NDombele, Lo Celso and Bergwijn are all extremely promising younger players who, with the exception of NDombele's waistline, have all given us a lot to get excited about.

Yet I'm once again starting to feel the dread I was feeling before the break. I just don't get it.

Unless I'm deluding myself I really do believe that attack has the potential to tear teams apart, so I really hope we start to see what I believe we're capable of tomorrow.

If Ndombele doesn’t start I’m not sure he has much of a future with us as long as Mourinho is here.

Yep, I agree. I wrote this season off months ago. I'm not expecting us to qualify for the Champions League. All I want now from the rest of this season is to see us play some proper football as a cohesive unit, both in terms of attack and defence. No more defending like a group of hungover 40somethings on a Sunday morning. No more lumping the ball forward at every opportunity only to immediately be back on the defensive.

Just play some decent football, please.

Problem with have is our defence is made of tissue paper, until that is sorted we could have Messi in the team but your always chasing games.

It's also frankly ridiculous that if Kane isn t on the pitch , we have no replacement striker and it is frankly concerning that we only have one creative midfielder, who seems to have already joined the ranks of our injury prone key players

our attacking lineup looks mint... but we need replacments for toby and van if they both leave :( also a stronger midfielder would be nice I suppose.

Son is our replacement for Kane and our creative midfielders are Gio, Ndombele and Alli.

Son isnt really a replacement for Kane as Son is in the starting 11 when Kane plays. We use Son as we have no one else and then have 2 players out of position instead of 1. Son can do a job but then his position is left to be filled. I'd much rather a recognised striker replaced Kane and the rest of the squad kept its shape. Its not ideal is it.

If Kane is out Son goes up top and Lucas, Bergwijn, Lamela take his place, Son isn't playing out of position, he can play as a striker in addition to a wide forward, he's proved it many times over the years - it really isn't that big a deal.
