Have they spent anywhere near as much as City? I've had a quick look and Leipzig's record signing cost less than Bergwijn and we've spent more this season than Leipzig has in the last two seasons combined.

This season? They were nothing 10 years ago and are now in the CL. It doesnt come from nothing.

Leipzig are in a bit of an injury crisis of their own aren't they? Read somewhere that they don't have a single natural CB available for this game with two of them injured and one suspended.

Probably means we end up losing 1-0 though ?

So depressingly predictable. Ugh..

To state the obvious missed a presence up front all match, that Poulsen could have done a job for us, novel idea to be able to replace a striker with a striker... or in our case to even start with one... that was another hard watch to add to the many

Considering everyone thought we were getting rinsed here, I’m glad we didn’t concede from open play

I really feel that Jose worries too much about the opposition can do rather than what we can do. Every game we start with a defensive sit back mentality.

Just what if we started games with attacking intent?

Feel the same. I think some of it maybe down to not trusting a lot of players out there. Lacking quality at fullback and no real DM to speak off. Add to that Kane and Son being out, just feels like he is deciding to keep things tight and nick something. Not particularly great viewing but looks like it dawned on him a while ago this team has some gaping holes in it.

We should have lost this 3-0 or worse. Beside the free kick BY GLC, I can't remember a great scoring opportunity. I can't see any chance of us scoring against them at their house with their CB back even once, let alone twice. Hold them scoreless??? Yeah right. The tie is over. Not unexpected but still disappointing.

We need to have Ndombele, Winks and Lo Celso play together as much as possible. We always look different level when those three can actually play a bit of football.

Leipzig deserved it but if we’d had Kane or Son, I reckon we’d have won that.
