I think it was the shot placement - expecting Deki to go far post there, with the defender still sort of blocking the near post.Still amazed the keeper hardly moved an eyebrow when the shot sailed past him

agree! I haven’t shouted this hard at the telly since Amsterdam. There is nothing more fun than a last minute winner.

Probably wasn't expecting Deki to shoot with his right foot!
He isn’t wrong though, is he? The refereeing IS actually very poor and inconsistent.
I was sure the ball came on before then but would have to see it againThat's because we had possession outside of the penalty area the first time, so we get the drop ball being the team in possession but the second time it happened when we had possession inside the box so the drop ball goes to the goalkeeper, think it all changed beginning of last season.
It did, and everyone stopped playing, so Deki just chuffed the ball into box when it was obvious the whistle was coming. The thing is, Banks was so slow actually sounding the whistle, so technically the ball was in the box at that point (but the game had already stopped). It was just poor refereeing, imo. Banks was slow and failed to read the situation.I was sure the ball came on before then but would have to see it again
Has always happened in this stadiumOne thing I noticed was how much our players were slipping over.
His balance was on his left, he was moving left and Deki played a reversed shot to his right so he had no chance.Still amazed the keeper hardly moved an eyebrow when the shot sailed past him
It did but he didn't blow the whistle and stop the game until Deki was in the box so techincally it's when the game is stopped that matters but he should have used some discretion and given Spurs a dropped ball outside the box. Maybe he wanted to teach the idiot who threw the ball on a lesson.I was sure the ball came on before then but would have to see it again
He's not alone there were plenty of people round me did too.Maybe he wanted to teach the idiot who threw the ball on a lesson.
Saturday 3pm also helped.Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but was very noticeable in the stadium and on clips just how many stayed for the whole game.
Shouldn’t be something noticeable but how many times over the last few years have we been losing after 90+ mins and yet the stadium is still packed out.
Used to get waves of people leaving on 82mins but even after the final whistle the stands were still packed out even though we were losing going into extra time.
It’s twitter, there are always some twats posting random hate-filled things.I see another raft of accusations of racism against Spurs fans yesterday.
Anyone see any evidence of this? At this stage I expect it to be more likely than not that there were some racist pricks.
The statement from Sheffield United said it was messages sent to Foderingham after the game, so I think it was social media based and not from within the ground. That's not to say there wasn't any, but I certainly did not hear anything of that ilk.I see another raft of accusations of racism against Spurs fans yesterday.
