Would love to see Winks in a Watford shirt...and tracksuit top on the bench.

Sarr vs Reguilon will be a battle today, gonna need Dele to continue his recent work rate.

I don't mind us starting off the season and new managerial regime getting a solidity, but I do find our central 3 a bit boring. If Watford dominate possession like Wolves did then it will be a shame.

Some people are worried about Sissoko, but we might be truly fucked if Danny Rose makes an appearance from the bench.

Where's the contradiction? Not good enough for Spurs but he's a dangerous player (still get picked for France after all). Watford bought him for a reason. He makes them a better team.

It's not just that but let's face it we have all heard of players playing a blinder against their old team so it's hardly ideal regardless of how shit we thought he was.

No, I get it. It's just still a little bit funny/amusing/whatever that a large amount were happy to see the back of him in a Spurs shirt but now are worried about him playing against us. We all know there's a talented footballer in there who can cause problems and stuff, but more the interesting side that one day we're focusing on his weakness's and how he doesn't work for us but now we're panicking etc...

At least I just find it fascinating is all.
"Panicking" is your word. I don't see anyone panicking, just using common sense. We have strengthened Watford for this game in a way that seems completely unnecessary.

As for wanting Sissoko out, personally it's only ever been about making room for us to bring in better players. It does not preclude the belief that he's a decent player, and certainly for Watford he'll be a very good one (automatically becomes one of their best players, after Sarr). It's not like he didn't have good games in our shirt.

Both times Lo Celso has come on in the PL it’s been for one of the front 3, not one of the midfield 3. The same will apply to Gil for most meaningful games.

I mean look at the type of midfielders we are signing/chasing. Box to box, high energy type players. People are still trying to shoehorn as many flair players as possible into lineups despite all evidence to the contrary from Nuno.

Watched Watford v Brighton last week and they couldn't string two passes together.

We need to be aggressive and press them, the mistakes will come.

I do kinda feel like you're taking my original throwaway comment a little too seriously and all that. Was just basically a few posters talking about how Sissoko is destiend to have a great game against us when we've also been saying he's bad. When he very well could also just be bad for them. I just personally found that amusing and made a simple comment about it, my dude.

And like I said, I get it. I also don't think Sissoko is an awful footballer. I was just commenting on the perception on this forum that a lot don't rate him for us but now he's on another team we (even jokingly) expect him to have a blinder. I just found it amusing. It wasn't that deep

Just prematch banter innit.

Carries the ball long distances through transitions at high pace, and has a better technique in the tackle than any of our CMs apart from possibly Skipp.

But unless he becomes as violent as Lamela, people will call him flimsy and lacking physically for as long as he plays for us.

Well that is what it said on the back of his box at least.
