The U23 squad will become the U21 squad next season, and compete in the PL2 League. They’ve lined up some friendlies next month:

July 12: Enfield Town
July 16: Leyton Orient
July 23: Billericay Town

#thfc Manchester United are close to signing our U16 left-back Jayden Meghoma according to @caughtoffside Would be a blow to lose a talented young England youth international.

Omari Forson went up there about 2 yrs ago . 18 next month but only played 4 games last season . Grass isn’t always greener. POSs injured I suppose.

And if I'm not mistaken, because Forson left it meant we went out and got Devine, so at the moment we appear to have gotten the better of that situation.

And I would not be surprised if we lost another Jayden next year. Jayden Dixon, year below Meghoma is I believe a huge Liverpool fan. He has been in England U15 squads. Disappointing to lose these young players, and we do not have much luck with players from Man U or Liverpool going the other way.

It it even legal that players can be poached from clubs at that age? I thought there were rules in place?

If the teams cannot agree compensation it can go to a tribunal to decide the comp. but essentially if a young player wants to go then he will. I hope Levy is as awkward as can be because this is and will be a growing trend. Previously Man U etc. picked on the youth stars in Europe eg Granacho, Mejbri etc . Now they can't do that anymore as we left the EU they are restricted to the UK. It's annoying because they are trying to make up for their inadequacies at recruiting at younger age groups by nicking our kids to fill the holes in later year groups.

Surely if they are at all decent they will have a pre contract. I remember we blocked Nya Kirby from signing for Chelsea when he was 16 and eventually he signed for Palace.

Devine on the bench? Hope it's just because of a knock because he doesn't deserve to be dropped.
