Just the 5 changes, not bad for a reactionary 11.

Maybe Skipp or Winks in for Dier. Both better with the ball

I wouldn't overreact on this performance. Give them a chance to make up for their performance at least. A few changes should be enough.

Dont expect major changes after this, it's easy to day let's make lots of changes but if truth be told certain positions have no other options.

Really speaking we can make the odd change in midfield and the forward line but other than that there is not much else that makes sense to do.

Got to back Gaz hes our number 2, will break his confidence if we take him out.

Serge is okay against teams we expect to have chances against.
Toby and Sanchez are first choice, all for Foyth getting game time but I'd wait for the cup to give him a game.
Jan has to play left back for me, Rose I dont want playing and Sess is not a LB yet.

Midfield I would personally alter our shape slightly and go with a three. Winks, Ndombele and Sissoko. I know some people will say we should play GLC in front of Sissoko but I feel we need his energy in midfield and protection on the right right now. If we get a solid DM in then I think we can be more expansive with our selections.

Lucas off the right and Alli off the left. Sess and GLC from the bench.
Kane obviously leads the line.

Gazza
Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Jan
Sissoko, Winks, Ndombele
Lucas, Kane, Alli

It’s a busy period, rotation should be expected with 4 games in 10 days anyway. Hope Mourinho has a word with a few of those sidelined about what is expected so they come back motivated after a rest.

Foyth Sanchez Toby Rose
Ndombele Winks
Lo Celso
Moura Kane Sessegnon

Would love to see these two sides. The first one possession based for a home game where they sit deep, the second one a defensive pacey counter attacking team. Great rotation too

Piss right off anyone selecting Aurier. Guy is a head case. Neither do I want to see Dier/Sissoko in the same midfield.

It'll be interesting to see how Brighton set up now that Lampard provided a clear blueprint for how to make us utterly ineffective. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rose and Sessegnon come in on the left side and the question is whether Ndombele makes the cut.

Totally agree and have for a long time.

My only hope is Jose will see what Poch never could and learn from this, rather than try to make it work time after time after time.
