If he doesn’t want to be here why is he here?
Why is he talking about rebuilding the squad and bringing in young players?
Why does he have a contract with 4 years left to run?

That washed up old trout would sell his wife to manage us these days.

Jose mk 3. A ghastly thought.
Jose mk3.."the sequel to end all sequels".
Or perhaps Jose mk3 "the return of the scoreless draw"
Or my personal favorite Jose mk3 "this time its not personal its just a payday for me"

This isn’t the beginning of the end. It’s the beginning of the season. And a club in the shape we are aren’t thinking about dumping our best manager for years after 3 games. Yes, the form is a continuation of the shite we put on display in the second half of last season but Poch tinkered in the summer and the changes he made need to be given a clean slate for the new season. No NDombele today, Lo Celso hasn’t started yet, Son has only just played his first game, Dele isn’t back yet, Vertonghen will play a part, Poch needs the window to close to finalise the Toby and Eriksen situations... I could go on about a few other players too but I’d be open to making excuses when actually it’s just happens to be the case that we are currently a bit unsettled and it’s showing in our performance. I’m still looking optimistically at the season and will quite happily forgive and forget this thread as the season goes on.

Lot of excuses in there. Lot of excuses at the end of last season for our league form.

These are the sort of things a top top manager deals with, accounts for, and ultimately manages. Not to say I dont think he isnt a top top manager, but I think he has taken his eye off the ball over the last few months and needs to regain his focus and humility.

I agree. Let’s let him.

What would it take for Levy to pull the trigger? Genuinely? I mean how bad would it have to get. I doubt it would be this side of the season tbh. But if losing top 4 becomes a serious possibility, then would he?

If we are adrift by end of September, I think he is in trouble.

Where's the 'Poch press' gone then?

Answers on a postcard please because isn't this a supposed pre requisite of a Poch team? Otherwise, someone tell me what a Poch team stands for because I see a discernible philosophy in Pep's and Klopp's teams.

The press is one aspect.Every team is fit now there is no advantage. The only thing is vision and we have none

Interesting quote from Poch

Of course the problem is during the week, when you arrive at the competition maybe it can affect but I think we should with a bit more today be winning. This type of stuff happens in the Premier League and that's why you not only need quality players, you need a very good dynamic, and strong team bond and at the moment that situation in our group is still far far away from what we expect.

Yes, we played final in the CL, but lets be honest, we were very very lucky. We almost got eliminated in the group stage and we were lucky against both Man C and Ajax. And remember, we also lost more games than we had done in many many years.

With that said, the final is a memory for life.

Nonsense. Liverpool wrecked Arsenal pressing them deep into their own changing room.
City regain possession within the opponents half about 80% of the time they lose the ball.
The press is so much more than fitness.

Cryptic again. I can’t work out what he is saying at all. So is there a problem in the squad? If so, who is the issue because apparently we have been a good team for years?

As much as Eriksen has been a pain, I doubt he is the type to affect that team dynamic.

All I can see is poor football and tactics that haven’t changed since last year. So maybe he needs to do something a bit different.

This is what concerns me because the message between coach and player - one which was supposedly his MO much like Klopp's 'Gegenpress' - hasn't been translated on the pitch for a long, long time.

The time to panic will be, as you stated, these players are back and Lo Celso has had a run and bedded in. If we're still seeing these displays then we need to worry about Poch, as something would certainly be wrong with his coaching and set up.
