Kaboul can cover RB as well. Remember that cross for Crouchie at the Etihad?

Remember the shit performances at RB the season after that?!

Kaboul's a waste at RB anyway. He's a beast of a CB, in the top 3 in the league for me now.

Agree with this. Kab is not a utility player anymore he is our best CB and we shouldn't look to move him. We don't need amazing back up in the full back positions and if Naughton could stay and we get Fryers in I would say we might be sorted in both.

Yep yep. Exactly. Keep Kaboom at CB. He's awesome there! I think with him and Verts we're absolutely rock solid there. Best pairing we've had in decades!

Agree, he can but I'm hoping that Kaboul and JV strike up a great understanding at CB and give us some much needed consistency there. The last thing you want is to be pulling your first choice pairing apart so they can cover the full back positions.

Ade stopped playing For Togo after the shooting at the AFCON. I know there was talk of him returning but has that been confirmed?

from wiki:
Adebeyor subsequently returned to international duty in November 2011 following assurances from the Togo Football Federation regarding safety,[63] making his comeback in a 1–0 win over Guinea-Bissau in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.[64

Looks like the constant need for more and more from the masses has worn jj down, looking at his last tweet?
who could've predicted that? as if people were suddenly going to say "you know what? JJ has given enough info. I think I'll just wait until the os has the report of the next player in."

Edmonton on COYS who has a lot of info re: stadium development just posted re: Oscar

Roger Morgan on SO reagrding the Chelsea's Bid for Oscar

It's that joorabchian chappy. Perhaps we suspected this would happen and he isn't our main target after all. Or perhaps that would be too Machiavellian

Edmonton then said "Goes back to when the chavs bought Scotty to destabilise Charlton, they will always try to disrupt or weaken other clubs rather than concentrate on their own team."

Who is the young birmingham keeper we are after?

From what I was told, we are closer to signing him, above Lloris (who we are after too).. don't know more than that.

Exciting day today, but realistically, it's more exciting for the rest of the week rather than just today, nice to see things happening early in the window. I did post back at the beginning of JUne, that announcements (such as Vert's), won't happen until beginning of July.

Trasnfer's rarely happen before July, even though the window is open, most footballers contracts run until the end of June, so for paperwork and logistics of transfers it's easier to sign after July.

Butland but he's really young, I can't see him being our first choice keeper yet..

I like Ade , but I wonder about how AvB is going to get him to play in specific areas of the pitch in an organised formation.... VdV too. These guys like to wander and er...express themselves suiting better a Harry type management situation .
