That's an awesome update Herc.

Ndombele, perhaps the best news. A fit, motivated, great attitude Ndombele is the 50M signing we need in the middle. He and Lo Celso now have a year under their belts. They both have the potential to spot that pass and both play the ball quickly from their feet. We have been far too pedestrian the last few years, thus struggling to break down teams that sit back. Awesome development on TN.

If the LB is Reguilon, and the price is right, we'd be foolish to sit on the sidelines. Yes, Cirkin seems one for the future. Reguilon is now. And he could step in and play right away.

Bale, if the monies can be sorted, is just what we need. A player who can consistently create with dead balls has been lacking for years. I like what I see in Lo Ceso. Bale is a whole other level. Even if he could impart that knowledge and ability to Kane, Dele, Lo Celso, Bergwijn etc, Spurs would reap benefits for years. He is also a player who can be brought in to a match and make an impact. We don't have a lot of those players. Dele is terrible off the bench. As are Son, Moura, etc. Again, if Bale can do a job from the bench and get our players in to the right mindset to be game changers off the bench, money well spent. How many games have we dropped points where just one play, one free kick would have changed that? Far too many. That's the cutting edge we need. Bale was that man and can again be that man for Spurs.

Striker is the toughie. As Mourinho has said, it is only a special player that can play with and sub in for a Harry Kane, while not feeling like an also ran. If the unknown name from abroad is of the same ilk as a Daka or Edouard, it would be huge. Getting it across the line is a whole other matter. Neither Mourinho nor Levy will take a striker, just because, and most strikers will not come to sit and watch Harry play all of the big minutes. Not an easy task. I too have confidence that this is finally being approached with the correct mindset.

All in all, great update and more positivity than usual. Hojberg and Doherty are awesome additions. Hart, if he can somehow find his old confident ways, can be better than Gazzaniga. He did well in for Lloris last year, but does not steal games. There is always a goal that will beat him. Watching replays of goals, it was rare that I didn't feel he could have done better. In a sport where 1 goal is often the difference, it's the goal that could have been stopped, the insightful through ball or the free kick that should have been buried that is the difference. The moves that have been made and that are being worked on can be that difference. I expect to see a much more clinical side this season.

Now, can we avoid injuries playing every couple of days for the first few weeks?

20 GBP x 62,000 supporters = 1,240,000
1,240,000 x 12 months = 14,880,000 for year
14,880,000 / 52 weeks = 286,153.84 weekly
Yep, we could raise 286,153.84 to cover his wages!

Can we ask them to add an extra pound a month to donate to SC. I'm sure Rob would be grateful.

I’m pretty confident we will get a striker in ( I think the club not delivering on that two transfer window in a row would go down like a lead balloon with Jose and the club know that).

My concern is that they will simply be the cheapest. All this talk of “the under the radar player must be good if we are not really interested in these other good ones” is naive to me.

Hope I’m proved spectacularly wrong, but it seems very much we are not prepared to pay ( strikers cost more than other players, that’s the way the market is and always has been) and as soon as there is other interest we can’t get involved.

People need to lower their expectations in my opinion.
Or we’re playing a cup game, stick the striker under one of 5 cups, twirl them around so fast that no one really knows where the “striker cup” is, then turn them all over, show they’re all empty and pull the striker out from behind your left ear.

The bit I don't get is.... we weren't in for a LB but that may have changed...the reason we were interested (in a lb) was because Sess was going on loan but now he isn't???? Sorry if I've misunderstood, I've had a couple ....

It was suggested we might have been negotiating an Ajax deal that involved him on loan - so that, possibly, could have been vDB and obvious no longer a thing.

I think that while negotiating for Sess loan an oportunity arose of the kind we can always seem to find the funds for.

I think it depends on his plans for Davies and whether he sees him as a LB or CB, or even both. I've not got much knowledge on this RM kid but it sounds promising.

I'm kind of glad with the Ndombele news. He's got ability, that's obvious. Hopefully he can improve on his work rate and stamina.

Anyone know who he Is referring to? A quick google turns up 2 names that we’ve not been linked to this window but I like my access too much to start guessing games..

Why did we not just go for prem experience - Wilson or King etc. don’t understand this move, assuming Mendez is pushing it.
I guess because there isn't any potential with those kinds of signings. There are a known quantity and unlikely to really push our compete with Kane. What you see more of what you will always get.

Vinicius is a total unknown to most of us but appears to have potential to do well and is apparently a different kind of striker to this mentioned. I have no idea what his potential is, hopefully (if we sign him) he has only just started to show what he can do.

I don’t understand these questions. Isn’t it obvious? Fingers in several pies, checking the lie of the land, Crunching the numbers and seeing where the balls drop.

We’re not Man City or Chelsea where we have the one man we want and will pay the asking price immediately.

I think Jose wants a particular style of striker, and I can only assume prem strikers of said style aren't either currently available to us or they are not at an acceptable ability level for Jose.
