Gluttons for punishment you lot. We aren't signing Bale. You know it, I know it. I appreciate how large the pull of nostalgia is but we need to be a bit realistic in our expectations.

Just think back to previous windows. How many times have we seen ITK like this only to get disappointed? Take it with a pinch of salt!

I can see us getting a striker in definitely as this is a necessity. I will be happy with that ultimately.

A decent striker would round off a very good window. A striker and Bale would be like glitter on a very shit year

We've got as good a chance as anyone? Better the devil you know and all that. He obviously can't stay at Madrid any longer.

Great stuff as ever, Herc, but I just don't see how this info lines up with previous ITK that we're basically scrabbling around the back of the sofa for pennies.

I don't recall anyone saying that!

In fact, many have said we have the money if we deem it important enough to spend. The club, in these strange times, are rightly being cautious. Much like us in our every day lives, no doubt!

There is a name for people like you: "partypooper".

And "realist".

On a great night out when the booze is flowing freely and all the hottest birds are giving you attention, there´s always one bloke in your group that will tell you that you´ll just end up with a really bad headache the next day - in bed with a "coyote ugly" goose. Or more likely: on your own, using the left hand while watching internet porn. Even though this "friend" of yours is more than likely correct - no one likes him. Or what he says.

I don't remember seeing ITK quite as strong as this before. That said Herc said remain pessimistic so I'm going with that.

Do we have any knowledge of when someone may join? Specifically to help with the barrage of matches coming?

We've not heard that we're rushing anything, on the contrary the ITK gives the impression we are working methodically through our options so I'd guess not likely very soon.

Can’t we all chip in for bales wages I am willing to do a direct debut of £20 a month
20 GBP x 62,000 supporters = 1,240,000
1,240,000 x 12 months = 14,880,000 for year
14,880,000 / 52 weeks = 286,153.84 weekly
Yep, we could raise 286,153.84 weekly to cover his wages!
