Lyon president is taking the piss out of us: ""There was an approach from Tottenham but Hugo wanted to play for one of the best clubs in Europe"

Who's brilliant idea was it to have the transfer window close AFTER the season starts, anyway?

What really fucks me off is The Scummy Goons have PLENTY of attacking options after their business this window... QUALITY attacking players and at affordable prices....go figure!

To be fair though, and although what you say is very fair, all those Clubs havn't just appointed a new manager and have the need we have for that centre forward.

If we drop a fair few points in the first three games of the season I'll be very pissed off. We can't get the Norwich and West Brom fixtures back again - even worse than last season in many ways as at least the games we dropped the points in at the start of the season were against the top two sides in the League.

Anything less than 6 points will be a shit start to the season but then past experience tells me that WBA and Norwich at home will prove to be as frustrating (maybe even more so) as any game against the top 6.

@ChrisEvs79 Look on the bright side. We will be ok by the 31st though! #notjustLevy

IIRC we need to sign a striker by 12 pm on friday to register him for the game on the weekend, so we only have 3 and a half days left

I'll be as pissed off as anyone if we are doing August 31st business again but for once I have to admit it is a tough market for clubs to do business. To be fair it seems Arsenal have done good business but we won't know till later in the season I suppose.

Its frustrating as hell, I'll totally agree with that, but people are acting like the club isn't trying - they made a massive call sacking Harry and getting Villas-Boas in. And have invested in the training facility and new stadium. I just can't believe they won't do a deal if there is a deal to be done, and I also believe the club won't spend above what they can afford.

all by him self? or after he read JJ's tweet...

So after saying Ade was done on Friday, and again today, he's now saying nothing will happen (conveniently just after JJ said nothing will happen)? I despair I really do.

Agreed mate. To be honest I would of been absolutely fine had Adebayor been on board now - what a difference that would make heading into the first three games of the season - were we should of been looking at 7 points or so.

I think that some of us should consider that whatever they post, may end up getting laughed at elsewhere on the internet.
Some of the reactions to these faceless rumours, could be seen as funny, especially if viewed out of the thread, so to speak...and by other fans.
I will admit that things are looking bleak but it does seem to change daily.

To look for the positives, it would be nice to see Kane get a game/playtime, even if just to see what level we could loan him out to. He may prove worth keeping around.
Plus, we've got JD and he must have proved to us by now, that he can at least find the back of the net.
If it's worth waiting for, it's worth waiting for, I suppose. *misses having the shrugging smilie*

Notice how every ITK is so positive and then the second JJ tweets negatively they all do a u-turn and claim things are going badly.
I understand the point you're getting at, but surely that could mean something actually has gone wrong at the top, and they're all being fed similar info? Just a thought.

And also plenty of goals from midfield in VDV, Bale and Sig...

Why oh why does he think he can sign Llorentte? Here we go again, wrong focus wrong targets, and we'll end at 11:33pm with Charlton Cole

Llorente would be huge, but unlikely as he says. Carlton Cole time is finally here !!!
