if we buy one top cb in the next two weeks and a good back up its been a good window. unless for some reason weve said that were not buying a top cb i dont see why the optimism changed? VDV isn't gonna train for the majority of the time were in Oz anyway.

At least give us this one CB with a promising perspective.

Then i could face the rest of the window a bit more chilled as i really appreciate the business we did so far. But the CB is key!!

No real surprise at all to be honest. Obviously still have time but have a fear Postecoglou could be thrown under the bus by us patching over our weakness.

People say Levy will never change but he has. He's even worse. The bastard cares only about one thing and it ain't football. He knows regardless of our position the money will keep.rolling in. There won't be .any empty seats as tourists and mugs will continue to take them. Its soul destroying and sickening that he's been in charge for for so long and will no.doubt remain in charge for the foreseeable future.

Love a good dose of optimism from the ITK's. We're not far off a reasonable squad. Couple of CBS and get rid of any midfielders that don't want to play football and we're ok. Lb looks a bit shit but Udogie could change all that in pre season.

Big worry is Kane

It's also so typical to see so many teams get all of their deadwood picked up by Saudi teams yet we can barely shift anyone.

Still time for things to change but there are so many players present who you'd think would have been shown the door yet are still here. Some I can understand the 'Ange wants to assess them' line with but others are just simply not good enough.

I'm assuming we need to start shifting pronto before anymore ins. I get that to a point. Presumably/hope we're doing the groundwork on cbs now before pulling the trigger as and when the badly needed outgoings head out the door. Hate that it's always finance first over football needs. Have no doubt we'll get left short changed at the end of this as always.

I mean the club are legit insane if they're not willing to not invest at least 30m on a first choice LCB given how shite our options are and the fact we're changing to a style of play that requires pace and quality at the back.

I've been let down by our recruitment many times before, but even by Spurs standards that would surprise me..

I'm choosing to believe we'll still get someone decent in even if it takes a while.

Problem is that we can’t shift any of them pronto as they’re all on the other side of the world.

I don’t even get why though. Like surely they know it’s a negligent business decision let alone a footballing one to not recruit at least one high level centre half. The state of the defence is why we missed out on European football which would’ve hurt their pockets massively. To not address that just seems totally braindead.

Ange said that he loves a rebuild. Levi has taken him at his word and given him a roll of sticky tape and a wad of used chewing gum.
