I really can't see Caulker wanting to stay here next season if we sign Vertonghen and keep Gallas and King on the books. Kaboul, Vertonghen, Dawson, Gallas, King - that is a hell of a pecking order to get past.

I personally think the King is finished, and Caulker will take over the baton. The timing is perfect.

Not sure who that says more about, Caulker, Williams or my mate.

I watched quite a few swans games this season and have lots of mates with season tix and everyone agreed that Caulker was the outstanding one of the pair, making williams look good when he goes on his ridiculous kamikaze runs. AW is also a bit of a c{}ck, and thinks he's the second coming of Maldini!
SC is certainly good enough to play for us at THFC for many years to come. Seems a level headed kid too, [except for the one incident on wine street when he got a caution from the old bill]

His stats compare pretty favourably to Cisse at similar stages of their careers though, I guess that Remy has been playing out wide more, as well. I think he will be an intriguing signing if he comes. Be interesting if Harry seess him as a wide - Podolski, Mueller-style, striker - or wants him to play closer to a more conventional hold up guy.

The comparison of Caulker to Ayala is a clear attempt at being a WUM. You say Caulker was no better than Ayala, who made 5 appearances in the league last year. Seriously mate, wise the bap.

If you Google 'Ayala' the guy isn't even mentioned on the first page of options ffs!

Whilst the comparison the Ayala might be a bit extreme, I do agree with the sentiment. People are getting a bit carried away with Caulker assuming he is Ledley's second coming. He looked good this year, but Dan is right in the assertion that he would be behind Dawson in the pecking order. One more year on loan would be best, unless we drop into the Europa.

Correct me if i'm wrong but goalscoring wasn't one of Henrys main assets before he came to the prem. Maybe our scouts have seen something in Remy that they think would thrive in our team surrounded with better players than at Marseilles

If they do then surely hes not coming
