I thought I would just give round up of what I know.

I am told that Loric Remy was supposed to be in London this week to look around the facilities BUT it is not going to happen now because the thigh injury he picked up means he needs to stay in France for treatment. They still hope he will be fit BUT I’m told the injury will mean he miss Euro’s, but looks like deal is close. Also told he might not be the only Marseille that you bid for.

Tottenham are also in prime position to sign Redmond and Butland from Birmingham. Don’t know details of the deal but looks like Townsend will stay at Birmingham as part of deal and Redmond might also be loaned back.

Also told that Tottenham are looking for 2 centre halves; Caulker will be loaned backed (don’t understand because I think he’s got potential to be top class and is already better than most you’ve got). I’m not hearing anything on Vertonghen.

I’ve said before Modric IS Real Madrid’s number 1 target.

There are some noises being made about other players but not as much as you would think and not as much as before. A lot of the stronger noises are suggesting French based players.

Oh fucking hell, it looks like Spursking has sent his letter off to Harry early this year!!

Modric to Real can only be good given the players they might want to offload in a deal.

Interesting that Daniel Levy said none of our top players will be sold, and i appreciate that most times this is said a player ends up out the door with the club stating the offer was too good to turn down. However he stood by his guns last year and did not sell him.

The champions league final i feel is massive for us in a number of ways but i do wonder if it will have an impact on what happens to Modric. If Chelsea win, will he really push for a move because that will be the second season out of the champions league and if Bayern win, will he be forced to stay??

Journalist obviously has good links in Birmingham so the butland Redmond deal excites me.

I would accept a £20m + Sahin for Modric. Really think Sahin would be brilliant for us, and selling Modric abroad would be good for us, and allow some of our fans to remember modric in a positive light. However I do wonder where he would fit in for Madrid. I have no doubts that he is good enough but it would mean he would be directly competing with Alonso... Unless they plan to move him out wide like we did for the first season and a half.

I'd imagine that he'd play with Alonso and compete with Khedira depending on the opponent.

Realisitically are they going to sell us Sahin? They've only just bloody bought him.

As for the rest, it seems positive about Remy. At the end of the day I expect his agent has more decision making power than the player himself!! Whoever met Harry, it's a positive sign that we're pursuing targets early - which I think is what we all want above all else.

Kind regards,

Stoofio. Xx

Would be a great signing for Madrid, and a club that I would be happy to see him go to.

Cheers for passing this on.

The Remy rumours do seem to have a fair bit of momentum now, not entirely convinced myself by the guy, especially not at upwards of £15m, but I guess you have to trust the judgement of Harry and the guys if they have seen something they like.

Butland/Redmond I would be happy with, two very good prospects especially the 'keeper.

Would be disappointed if Caulker did go back out on loan, I think he is ready to be integrated into the first team squad now, I think if we get Vertonghen then we are well stocked at CB (remember we may be signing the Brazilian Bruno Uvini as well).

Modric... well if he goes I would prefer it to be abroad.

Interesting about looking at french based players, hopefully one of these is Giroud!

Sir Bill on COYS regarding Vertonghen:

I'm on a flight to Malaga which David Pleat is also on, we have literally just landed and so I asked him if Vertonghen was coming and he just replied with a nod saying "done".

Fingers crossed he's on the money.

Just for reference, the guy is definitely not a WUM.

If and that is a big IF Real want Luka from us, then it must only be done in some for of player swap & cash.

There are definitely players there that could improve our squad. I would want Alonso to fill in for Luka's gap. But, I dont think he would leave.
